Relaxing!
投稿者: mg. a. s, 2021/08/15Don't worry if you cannot swim! The water is shallow and clear. The staff take time to prepare you with their instructions and tips on kayaking. It only took us 2 hours instead of the 4 even with switching passengers. Make sure you are wearing water shoes or flip flops at least.
Lovely place! The green scenery is breathtaking. I was looking for a coffee shop, maybe I missed it.

Purely Awesome!
投稿者: Drew, 2021/08/12The kayaking to the sand bar was one of the best experiences we've ever had. This is mainly because the sand bar itself was just an amazing experience. Then the coral reefs.... wow! Just wow! If you get the chance and the water is deep enough, kayak over them (but be careful NOT to touch them, even with the paddles) and you'll be treated to some beautiful and colorful eye-candy.
While the people checking us in and giving us instructions were friendly, the one thing that bothered us was the "nickel and diming". I mean, you'd think renting the kayaks would get you the usual... water proof bag, etc. BUT, you had to pay for the bag ($5) on top of the kayaks. Then want an anchor? Well, that'll cost you another $5. So that part sort of left a sour taste in our mouths.

So much fun!

The actual time parasailing felt like 5 minutes, but any longer than that would have been too much for me anyway because we spent the whole time holding so tight onto those ropes! Overall, the experience was super fun!

Blue Ocean Hawaii Waikiki Bottom Fishing Tour from Waikiki - Keep What You Catch
Good for the fishing experience.
投稿者: Jenn , 2021/08/09Went on this fishing excursion on Saturday morning Aug 7, 2021. Boat was clean, poles were ready and all in working order, staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Maybe 5 fish were caught the entire trip out of everyone on board. On the way back one of the crew members said ‘I wouldn’t keep anything I caught here because it’s ‘dirty’ water’. If you’re looking for a fishing experience this is great as it’s just the right amount of time on the water and is family friendly. If you want to catch fish then this is not for you. My 12 year old had a good time so that’s all that matters.

I thought about going higher but when I did a hot air balloon ride it was the most fun we weren’t as high because when it’s higher it was quieter and you couldn’t see as much. We had so much fun! It was like we were a human kite! Even the people who said they were scared had fun. We went with friends and kids

Great Adventure
投稿者: Patrick S, 2021/08/06My wife and I did the full 8 hour day. We had a blast exploring the bay through snorkeling and kayaking. The staff on sight was helpful and efficient. It was a very enjoyable day overall. The only issue we ran into was knowing which reef was which. They provided a map which was very helpful and pointed out various landmarks to look for. We would definitely do this again.

Waikiki Swim with Turtles Tour - Moana Catamaran Best Honolulu Snorkeling Cruise
Tour time was cancelled but they found us an even better alternative.
投稿者: Glenda , 2021/08/06I booked this snorkeling tour for our group of 21 months in advance. A couple days before our trip a representative of Hawaii Activities contacted me to let me know the time we booked was no longer an option offered by the company. They rebooked us with a different company for the same day, at an earlier time, without drinks :(, for the same price even though the Moana company charged more than the one we originally booked. I appreciate this so much because as we were boarding, we saw a disappointed family at another dock who had their trip canceled with not even a notification. The boat just never showed up and when they called the company they were told they had to cancel due to COVID. Things happen but a notice would have been nice. Luckily for us Hawaiian Activities/Veltra not only notified us, but made alternative arrangements for us. I would definitely use this company for bookings in the future.

Awesome Parasailing Experience
投稿者: Lynn T., 2021/08/03Great experience from start to finish. Our boat captain and photographer were awesome. We recommend purchasing the photo package (Sim Card) provided at the end of the trip. A word of caution: DO NOT BE LATE. Allow ample time to get to the marina and fill out waiver forms (30 minutes prior to your departure time). The boat will leave you behind if you are not there on time.

could have been better
投稿者: Jess, 2021/08/03when we went to check-in, they told us to wait for 2 hours because it's too windy. Our check-in time was at 8am and we had to wait until 10:30am. I would absolutely not recommend going in the morning because this side of island is very windy, rainy, and weather cannot be expected at all. Weather app tells you it won't rain but it spontaneously rains, especially in the morning. Also, water doesn't get high enough to kayak or snorkel in the morning often because of this. I don't even understand why they even have morning session to book tho. They totally could've sent us an email in the morning before we arrive, so that we don't have to wait there doing nothing for 2 hours, which was very unfortunate. Anyway, we waited and did kayaking and self-snorkeling, which I also hoped there was an instructor leading the kayaking or snorkeling but wasn't. everything was verbally told and self-learning. (kayak rental staff/instructor was extremely kind, I really liked him. nothing was his fault, it was just more the system how they work was not the best.) They did not recommend to go to sandbar, in fact they say going to sandbar is advanced and do not recommend for first time kayaking people. Then why do they even have it on their activity title? you expect fun kayaking to kaneohe sandbar and beautiful snorkeling, but in reality, we did not get to go to kaneohe sandbar, only coral reefs. overall, I don't regret doing this activity, just wish it was better. Also, 4 hour renting is way enough. we only did about an hour and half and was able to go both reefs and snorkel there. Giving 4 stars only because we went there for our honeymoon activity and it was fun between two of us no matter what, but if not, I wouldn't be much happy and fun with it tho.

Fun in the sun and water!!

Waikiki Guided Turtle Snorkel Tour with Snacks & Drinks - Holokai Catamaran
Great Crew
投稿者: Caren Wise, 2021/07/24We really enjoyed our snorkeling trip with Holokai Catamaran. The crew was very attentive, funny and friendly. They made a point to make sure we saw turtles while we were in the water, and they periodically asked if we were doing ok or needed help with anything throughout the cruise. Any cautionary instructions that they gave us were very warm and polite, not bossy or curt which was especially nice for the kids on our trip.
The snorkeling itself was a little disappointing, but it had nothing to do with Holokai. We just happened to go at a time of year that was really busy. There were several other tour boats snorkeling in the same spot, so the water was crowded. It was a little stressful navigating around other snorkelers and trying to avoid getting a flipper in your face. But again the Holokai crew was in the water with us doing their best to make sure we were seeing turtles and fish.
After snorkeling, the crew let us jump off the boat and swim freely in the water. After that they put up the sails and took us for a super fun ride out past Diamond Head. That was definitely our kids’ favorite part of the experience.
Thank you to Holokai for making the this excursion fun and exciting for our families.

Fun times on the water!
投稿者: Oll fam., 2021/07/245 adults and 1 5 year old. Only one person with experience on the water via dragon boating.
Becky checked us in and let us know the water conditions weren’t good for beginners at 8am, we had to pass the time for 90 minutes but it made it worth it.
Joey helped set us up with pfds and the kayaks and answered all of our questions. We had a ton of questions. Joey was awesome.
We had a 4 hour block but we called it a day after 2 hours on the water, we saw some turtles, inconspicuous sea cucumbers and a lot of reefs.
We brought our own dry bags but you can rent from them as well. You can also rent snorkeling equipment.

Nice adventure!
投稿者: Anonymous , 2021/07/18We rented a double sea kayak for a paddling adventure across Kaneohe Bay. In about 3 hours we enjoyed snorkeling on the reef and playing around on the sandbar. Was about 4 miles paddling total, but definitely worth it.

North Shore Shark Adventures - Oahu Cage Diving Tour with Waikiki Transportation
Great Experience

It was a little rough in the beginning getting used to the waves and the cage up against the boat but once they release you a little it gets a lot easier. There were plenty of sharks and some other animals to check out while inside the cage. Definitely glad we did this.

Turtle Canyon Snorkel Cruise from Ala Wai Harbor - Pink Sails Waikiki
Not Much To See
投稿者: BeeKae, 2021/07/11The worst snorkel tour I’ve ever been on as far as what a person was able to see under the water. My husband didn’t see a single fish. The kids and I saw two species. A black fish and a striped fish..literally two fish of each kind. Water is too cloudy to see much. I don’t believe there is really much to see even if the water were clear. No reef in sight. Way too many tourists from about 5 different boats all dropped off to snorkel at the same spot so people are constantly getting in each other’s way. I never saw a turtle except the one from the boat when we first pulled up. BEST part was the crew and the sail after the snorkel. The crew was wonderful. Brandon was super funny. Ryan and Mike both nice guys. They all work hard. Maybe it was just a poor day at sea for seeing much in the water, but I wouldn’t do it again. A sunset sail with them would be great since the sailing was the best part and the crew is awesome. But if you’re hoping to see a lot of fish and turtles while snorkeling, don’t expect it here. Wish I could get a refund.

We do have an all inclusive package that includes an anchor, dry bag, and snorkel gear. However, many people do not require or want a dry bag or an anchor, which is why for a la carte rentals those items are optional, and it's less expensive to rent the kayak without them. All necessary equipment is provided, but anchors, dry bags, and snorkeling gear are optional, or included in that all inclusive package. Hopefully that makes sense. Thank you again for joining us.
