ノースショア（ハレイワ）観光 サーフィンレッスン＆ハレイワ散策＜1日＞
安心して満喫できました
投稿者: こーら, 2022/01/19アメリカ本土在住の日本人ですが、日本よりも国内のほうが旅行しやすかったこともあり2022年1月中旬にひとり旅でこのツアーに参加しました。当日は私一人だけの参加だったこともあり、マサさんには柔軟に対応していただきノースショアを満喫することができました。バンも十分な広さですし、マスクはもちろん換気も十分にしてもらっていたので安心して過ごせました。
ホテルでピックアップしていただき、サーフィン前にノースショアのコーヒーショップに立ち寄って頂きました。ハワイならではのココナツなどを使ったコーヒーやハワイアンスイーツなどもあるかわいいお店でした。朝食を済ませていなかったのでとても助かりました。
サーフィンも全くの初心者でしたが、セルジオさんやマサさんのアドバイスのおかげで何度か練習するうちに波の上に立つことができました。セルジオさんに直接レッスンを依頼している他のアメリカ在住の方々3人と一緒にレッスンを受けました。セルジオさんがひとりひとり内容をきちんと理解しているか確認しながら、英語が不安な場合でもジェスチャーを交えゆっくり話してくださるので、安心して受けられると思います。レッスンでは最初の10分くらい砂浜で基礎を練習したあと、早速実践にうつってサーフィンを体験しました。ビーチには他のインストラクターからレッスンを受けている方々がたくさんいて、波に乗れると周りの方から拍手や歓声をもらえたりしてとても楽しい時間でした。
レッスンのあとはハレイワ散策でガーリックシュリンプを昼食に頂きました。昼食後はこのプランに載っている場所だけでなく、自分の希望に合わせてマサさんが場所を選んでくださったので本当にありがたかったです。私の場合はハワイの自然や歴史を感じられるスポットや、ドールのプランテーションでパイナップルジュースを飲みたい、などの希望をお伝えしたところ、時間内に上手く調整して全て連れて行って頂けたのでとても満足でした。なので参加者の方はあらかじめご希望があればお伝えしておくのが良いかと思います。
マサさんはハワイだけでなくアメリカの歴史や政治などもお詳しく、移動中も色々なお話しをしながら周ることができとても充実した一日となりました。
サーフィン初心者の方や、コロナの時期ということもあり安全に少人数でまわりたい、ノースショアに初めて行くが効率良く周りたい、という人にはおすすめのツアーだと思います。

Fun time - nice staff!
投稿者: From AK, 2022/01/18The staff was super nice and the equipment in good shape. They provided a waterproof map and told us the best spots to snorkel and maybe see turtles. We saw turtles and lots of fish! One note; When I booked the Yak Pack tour I was told it was thirty minutes to the sandbar. When I got there I learned it was actually more like 45 minutes. So that would take a good bit of our four hours. We wanted to snorkel too so we kayaked and snorkeled and didn’t make it to the sandbar which was just fine. Loved it. Brought snacks and drinks. Had a picnic on the kayak.

Favorite snorkel boat!
投稿者: Yes to Hawaii, 2022/01/17Love, love, LOVE this boat! It's a beach catamaran so no transportation is needed. Plus, they provide you with FINS that are super comfy and adjustable. After snorkeling, you get some snacks and can purchase drinks on board. We got the souvenir Holokai shaker to keep. We did the 9am cruise which was perfect for visibility and to catch a little bit of sun before it got too hot in the afternoon. Would recommend!

SPACIOUS catamaran, great visibility, lots of fish
投稿者: Yes to Hawaii, 2022/01/17This catamaran is super nice! Since it was an early snorkel cruise, we opted to add-on a light breakfast so we could sleep in a bit more in the AM. Visibility was amazing. On the boat ride to the snorkel spot, we were so lucky and saw dolphins. This is incredibly rare in Waikiki so we were so excited to have gotten the chance to see them! There were tons of fish at Turtle Canyon. This boat provided us with floatation belts AND fins. The fins helped us out so much and we were able to cover so much more area than if we didn't use them. Loved this cruise & would recommend!

You can use bikes, kayaks, surf boards, snorkeling gear and more!! Also, they have free parking. This is an activity you should definitely do when coming to Hawaii.

Overall ok
投稿者: anonymous, 2022/01/15I think overall I had great time with parasailing, the view from top was awesome. We had two issues, first issue, we were the last family to do parasailing and they cut short our time in the air <6 minutes, (yes I timed ours, compared to first family) so they did not manage time well even though they advertised 8 mins from start to finish. second issue, photos we bought from them did not open on my computer and when I tried on another computer there were no photos at all, just wasted my money :-(. Next time, I would choose different parasailing vendor for sure.

Great service and a wonderful time!
投稿者: Kim, 2022/01/09The workers were knowledgeable, friendly, and very welcoming. Getting into the water was easy and straightforward, and the kayaking itself was very fun. We went to the outer coral areas and then went all the way back over to the sandbar area. Generally for snorkeling, I recommend just sticking to the coral areas - there are a number of islands on the east side. The sandbar doesn't have too much going on, plus there are more people.

The only thing is the pictures- we were a part of 6 and the pictures that I got were the same over and over again. The pictures are not worth it. Also I would advise to give dramamine to anyone in your party with the most minimal motion sickness.

Rude swimmers. Please describe how to snorkel with aloha before disembarking.
投稿者: Me today, 2021/12/30I get this on every tour, but newbies need instructions on how not to be rude. Don’t flip in my face. Stop swarming at me, and please… there is no reason to flail your appendages rampantly for no reason when there are 50 swimmer right next to you. Please explain this to swimmers before hand. In fact, in a small area, there is no reason for flippers. This would have been much more enjoyable if no one had them.
Turtles were neat. I would not tell anyone else if you see one because everyone swarms and hits you in the face/gut/you name it, as they flail to see it.

投稿者: Kirk, 2021/12/29Kayaking was fun but it was a little disappointing to find that the sandbar and related islands are all under water. The pictures showed a sandbar above water where you could exit the kayak and walk or play. In reality, the sandbars are 3-4 ft. under water. You can stand on them but you are just standing in the shallow water. According to the employee, the sandbars are under water most of the time - rarely are they exposed, due to tidal conditions. Need an extreme negative tide and the right time of the year to actually see sand. Would have been nice to know before we showed up for our trip.

Flying High!
投稿者: Mary, 2021/12/28The was the BEST parasailing we’ve ever done - and we’ve done several on both coasts of the mainland and different islands. Although the seas were a bit rough, the parasailing was outstanding. The captain and crew of Freedom were gems. My son said he would give them a 6 out of 5 stars - lol.
Definitely go for the 1000 feet! The windy day really had us flying well above any of the competition.
Will do this one again on our next visit.

Half day paddle
投稿者: Lisen, 2021/12/27It was a very windy day unfortunately so we couldn’t paddle out to the proper sand bar ( they told us not to). We paddle to the smaller sand bars closer to the shore, but we should have needed a guide, it was hard to know if we were in the right place and we saw almost nothing such as fishes and stuff, we did see one turtle that raced past us so fast. We had booked for a half day but we where only away for 2,5 hours because also the water was cold…
Maybe this excursion should be during the summer months and not during winter time.
The crew where really nice and friendly and did there best to help us and guide us, although next time we would pay a little bit more and get a guide and maybe take a boat!

短パンの場合はケガに注意
投稿者: まいむ, 2021/12/26日本語の話せるインストラクターもいらっしゃり、日本人ひとりでしたが楽しく過ごすことができました。ただ浜辺近くは上からは見えにくいブロックが海中にあるため、足は着くものの戻る際に足をぶつけて両膝とも擦りむいて痛い思いをしました。お店が長袖のラッシュガードを貸してくれるので上半身は大丈夫ですが、短パンで参加される方は日焼け対策含めて注意が必要です。

An Incredible Experience
投稿者: Jesse, 2021/12/17The crew from Moana Catamaran were awesome, laid back, and super helpful the entire experience! The classic island music, the weather, the catamaran.. all the vibes were perfect!
We saw a couple schools of Dolphins on the surface (which I believe is NOT common, so keep that in mind if you book!) and saw about 8-9 sea turtles during our time in the water. A few of them hung around the whole time and swam towards us so close we had to swim away to give them the distance they need.
The crew gave us everything we needed- snorkels, fins, and a floaty to make things super easy for our time in the water. I really enjoyed that it was a waist floaty and not a neck inflatable one like some of the other boats out there. Made it much more enjoyable.
Overall, we were mesmerized by the turtles and the fish / sea life that surrounded us, and had an amazing crew to take us to it. 10/10, 5/5, whatever you want to take from this. My wife said this was "the most amazing experience of her life", and I might even agree. :)

Amazing crew!

Diego and the captain made sure we were all good before and after the excursion! We were normally supposed to go up to 1000’ but because a few customers did not show up the captain let us go to the max height of 1200’!! Super cool! Would definitely go again!

Amazing snorkeling
投稿者: Lin C, 2021/12/04The sandbar wasn’t exposed that day so we opted to snorkel at the different reefs and I’m so glad we decided to do that. The reefs are beautiful and there are a lot of fish to see. We saw several turtles too. The staff are very friendly. You can still use your phone data out at the reefs which made it a lot easier to find them on Google maps. I highly recommend this excursion

Great kayaking experience at iconic spot
投稿者: JTA, 2021/12/01I had rented a tandem kayak rental at this place and they were really great in accommodating our schedule. Originally we were planning to go out on a Saturday, but the weather was not ideal, so we asked if we can reschedule and they did allow us to reschedule for later in the week as a one time exception.
It was a great idea to do that since the following Tuesday we went and the weather was fantastic (sunny and low winds).
The sandbar is about a 30-45 min kayak, and it wasn't rough at all. The scenery is beautiful and it was pretty cool to be standing out on a sandbar that far out from shore. Overall, I would definitely do it again as long as the weather cooperates.

Once in a Lifetime Experience
投稿者: Jesszel, 2021/12/01This is our first time parasailing and I admit, we were all nervous, but the captain and her crew made us feel safe by telling us all the pre-cautions we need to do. The ride to the take-off site was fun. The actual take off was smooth and the view from the top was awing. This is once in a lifetime experience and I am glad we did this. My 8 year-old son had a great time as well and want to do it again. Highly recommending this activity. Thank you for such a wonderful experience and not to forget the staffs who checked us in that were very accommodating and patient in answering all our questions.
