Payment

Do we get commission?

Yes, you will be paid a scaling commission starting from eight percent (8%) and the rate can vary depending on the activity, as well as the total gross retail sale amount (after tax & other applicable fees) of each completed activity booked during the calendar year (Jan 1 - Dec 31). Please refer to our Commission Payment section for more details.

When do we get paid?

Your commission will be paid on the 25th of each month for any bookings that have been completed the month prior. The time it takes for the payment to clear is dependent on individual bank processing times (for travel agents with bank accounts in the United State), or PayPal (for travel agents with bank accounts outside of the United States).

How do we get paid?

If your agency's bank account is located in the United States, your payments will be sent via wire transfer (ACH). Travel agents with bank accounts in countries outside of the United States, will have their commission paid via PayPal and the transaction fee will be deducted from the commission.

Do you offer a net payment solution?

No, we currently do not offer a net payment solution. You will receive the commission via direct deposit to your bank account or PayPal depending on the location of your bank account.

Is there a minimum commission amount before I can be paid?

No, there is no minimum requirement, and you will be paid no matter how much you have earned the previous month.

How do I find my commission rate?

When you make a booking, you will be able to see your commission rate in green letters beneath the list price. Some activities will have a lower commission rate even if you qualify for higher commission level.

How can I change my bank (or any other agency) information?

Sign into your Travel Agent account, click on [Agency Profile] and update the necessary information accordingly.


Application Process

What if I don't have an IATA #?

If you do not have an IATA number, we will also accept other forms of travel agent or travel industry certification. Please contact us for further information at travel.agent@veltra.com.

How long does it take for my application to be approved?

It will normally take between one to two business days for your application to be processed and you will receive an email notification once your application has been either approved or denied.

If my application is denied, is there anything I can do?

Please contact us at travel.agent@veltra.com and we will be more than happy to go over your application to see what can be done to get your application approved.

If I don't qualify for the TA program, can I still earn commission as a Website Affiliate?

Yes, we are still happy to assist you in earning a commission, and our Web Affiliate Program could be for you!

Can I register for both the VELTRA Travel Agent Program and Affiliate Program?

Yes, being a part of both programs is a great way to increase your earning potential. However, if a booking is processed through both programs, you will only earn the travel agent commission and your affiliate commission will be cancelled.


Booking Tours & Activities

If I call in to make a booking, can I still get the commission?

Unfortunately, bookings made by phone will not be able to earn commission. In order for your commission to be tracked, you must book online using your Travel Agent "Tracking" Account.

Are we allowed to make our own changes to our client's voucher?

No, you are not allowed to make any changes to the VELTRA voucher. This includes removing or altering the VELTRA logo, participant names, and other pertinent information. General booking changes can be made through our booking system and should be used for any name, date, hotel and other changes.

Can I raise the price of an activity for my client?

Although you are free to charge your client a different price than what is listed on our website, your commission rate will only be applied to our listed prices.

Are our clients allowed to contact VELTRA if they have questions?

Yes, your clients are more than welcome to contact us through our website inquiry system should they have a VELTRA account. Otherwise they can email us at support@veltra.com.

Can I offer discounts for my clients?

You are welcome to do so, however, any discounts will be in lieu of receiving commission for the booking.

When booking for a client, what information is usually required to book?

Although each activity provider requires different information for booking, we usually require a mobile/cellular phone number or the name of the hotel where your client will be staying in case we need to contact them.

If an activity is cancelled, how long does it take for a refund to be processed?

Allow three (3) to five (5) business days for the refund to reflect on to the credit card used for this purchase. Any cancelled bookings will no longer be eligible for commission payment.


Multiple Travel Agent Accounts

If I own a travel agency and have multiple travel agents working for me, is it possible to make an administrator account and have multiple agent accounts under it?

Yes, if you own or operate your own travel agency, you can have an Administrator account and create Agent accounts for your employees. This will allow you to keep track of their sales history, and all commissions will be sent to you instead of the individual agent.When you sign up for our Travel Agent Program, you will be assigned the administrator account by default.

Do you send payments to individual agents who work for a larger company?

No, the commission payments are sent to the registered bank account listed under the Travel Agent account only. If you need to have payments sent to you directly, you will need to sign up for your own Travel Agent account.

If I am a part of a larger agency, whom do I ask about receiving my commission?

You will need to contact the Travel Agent account administrator regarding commission payments since they will be receiving all payments from VELTRA and will need to distribute the commission per the sales report.


Travel Agent Discount

Do we get a Travel Agent discount if we want to place a reservation for ourselves?

Discounts are not available at the time of purchase, but you are more than welcome to book your activities through your Travel Agent account and receive a commission for your bookings.

Can I arrange a Familiarization (FAM) tour though VELTRA?

No, we do not handle Familiarization Tour ("FAM") requests.
