A wonderful afternoon with a lovely performance by a Maiko!
投稿者: Tammy Rak, 2019/11/29Initially, I had booked the Saturday show but it was unavailable. Veltra was able to let me know and gave me a couple of different options to choose from as an alternative. I was able to change my reservation to the Sunday lunch. I would recommend paying extra for the front row and for the lunch. The lunch was a nice selection of Kyoto cuisine. Also, if you get sake, the Maiko will serve it to you. The Maiko was lovely and charming. Her performances were breathtaking and she was very thorough with her answers to out questions. It was also fun playing games with her. I had a wonderful experience and would definitely recommend it if you have a couple of hours to spare.

何よりこの時期入場に長蛇の列に並ばず入れるチケット付きは魅力です。
食事の後、そのまま永観堂の庭に入り美しい紅葉を堪能しました！

6 hour private car tour
投稿者: Dr S Sharma, 2019/11/28Our driver was very courteous and accommodating. We originally started with a 4 hour tour but gradually extended to 6 hours. We covered all that we wanted to : Fushimi Inari shrine, Nijo castle, bamboo grove, and a couple of others. He walked along with us and took great photos of us. He explained the history and significance of all the sites. We had a great time. The colors of Red and yellow of the leaves was also picturesque. Would not hesitate to strongly recommend veltra tours. Keep up the good work!

快適でした
投稿者: tiffin, 2019/11/2711月なのになぜか暑い日で、並んでいたら相当大変だったと思います。待たずに入場できてありがたかったです。昼食会場は快適な温度で「観光前だけど既に満足」と思えるくらいリラックスできました。
受付が若干わかりにくかったので少し早めに着いておく方が安心できると思います。

投稿者: ポンタ, 2019/11/26歩くのが大変な82歳の母と京都散策するのに、少し変わったアクティビティを探していたのですが、いつもと違うバス旅に大喜びをしてくれました。ガイドさんの説明も楽しくて、何よりも木々や信号、鳥居などが頭上に来るときのドキドキ感、開放感が最高でした。この季節には暖かい日で青空が気持ち良かったです。

もみじの永観堂は想像を遥かに超えた絶景でした

永観堂の紅葉はまさに日本の絶景で京都の紅葉観賞では欠かせない場所だと思います。
今回が初めての京都紅葉観賞でしたが何度も訪れている姉もこのようなツアーがあることに驚いていました。
来年もこのツアーは絶対利用したいと思いましたし、皆さんに是非お薦めのツアーです。

スムーズな入場に大満足
投稿者: マヤキタジマ, 2019/11/25当日は良いお天気で、人出が多く、永観堂の境内に入るための長蛇の列ができていました。私達は、おかげさまで、境内に隣接する静かな座敷でおいしい湯豆腐御膳をいただいたあと、行列に並ぶことなくすぐに入場できましたので大満足です。このプランを予約した甲斐がありました。次回行くときも利用したいと思います。

投稿者: Mono, 2019/11/24I book for 9 people and got 2 Maiko. 1 maiko name Tomie is very good in English she teach us play a game and answer our questions very clear. The owner is good in English too. We got a warm welcome and best experience everyone love it. Tea is quite bitter but they have a Japanese sweet that you can share with your friends. And you have permission to take a picture all times. After tea ceremony they come to send you and take a picture in front of a restaurant.
You can follow google map from VELTRA website and please save a picture of the restaurant because they don’t have a name in English and cannot search in google map apps

投稿者: mina, 2019/11/24四条河原町から徒歩で行ったのですが、迷ってしまい20分程予約時間を過ぎてしまいましたが、店の方が快く受け入れてくださり、ほっとしました。程よい間隔でコース料理が運ばれて 器も盛付けも綺麗で、食事も伏見のお酒も美味しかったです。帰りに町家作りの店内も見せていただき 京旅の良い想い出になりました。

Beautiful way to see Geiko [Geisha]
投稿者: Sarah C, 2019/11/19This was a lovely performance by the Gion Geiko and Maiko. Keep in mind this isn't a traditional performing art; in Japan Geisha usually "perform" in private settings for very wealthy individuals. You could book a geisha dinner for several hundred dollars per person, or you could go to one of these shows if you are lucky enough to be in town while one of these performances is going on and get a taste of Geisha art in a theater setting. It was a beautiful performance!

Thanks to the car, we could explore much more sites than otherwise possible when using public transportation or walking. Our guide was very knowledgeable and adjusted the tour to our preferences. We recommend!

入った途端に、枝先の真っ赤な葉が目に入りました。そして、木を全体に見ると真っ赤、橙色、緑とそれは素敵な彩りです。
全部が真っ赤とは又違う趣に感動しました。

Introductory Traditional Kyo-Yuzen Hand-Dyeing Workshop in a Machiya
Great relaxing activity. Perfect for a rainy day or to take a break from city excursions.

I'm a bit of a perfectionist and was worried about things coming out just right but the staff there was patient and willing to put up with my extra questions and offered advice. They had a native English speaker there so it made the explanations super easy to understand. Thanks Saskia!
The only sort-of-criticism I have is more with Veltra's layout. The location actually had more items than was listed on the site. But we were given free range of anything at the price range of the tumbler (which we both chose on the site) or above, with us paying the difference in store (we COULD have chosen a less expensive item but we'd be loosing out on money since it was payed for in advance through Veltra). I chose to stay with the tumbler I originally planned but having those options given to me was very nice. So really, this was both a negative AND a positive.

舞妓さんとの食事最高です！

なかなか、マイコさんとお話しする機会もないですし、それを食事しながら しかもお酒も注いでもらえてハッピーでした。
しかし、30分以上早く行って外で待っていたが並んでなかったためA席のラストでした。早く行った方は階段前で並ぶ事をオススメします。

友人が足を悪くしていたので、大事をとって、タクシー観光にしましたが、3〜4人ならお値打ちなのでは？

着物で新たな目線の京都！
投稿者: natsu, 2019/11/14結婚式など特別な日に着るイメージだった着物を、気軽に、しかも京都で着れるということで思い出作りにと予約しました。お店は京都駅のバスターミナル目の前、京都タワーの中。着付け後は道路を渡ってすぐバスへ乗車できるので、行きも帰りも移動が楽チンでした。スタッフの皆さんは、さすがプロ。丁寧かつテキパキとした作業であっという間に着付けが完了。その後1日アクティブに歩き回りましたが、全く着崩れませんでした。選べる着物や帯、かんざし等の種類も豊富で、どれにしようか迷っている時間もまた楽しかったです。着物姿で訪れた金閣寺や二条城では、その情緒溢れる風景の一部に自分達が溶け込めたような非日常感を味わうことができ、とても新鮮でした。着物で京都の歴史探訪、是非おすすめです！
外国人の彼も気に入ってくれました。
Trying the Yukata was a unique experience, and not even the fact of just wearing something traditional, which is a magnificent experience, but being able to take it and visit the ancient temples and castles in Kyoto, takes your imagination to a new level, like taking a trip back in time and being in feudal Japan; I really recommend it for anyone who would really experience more details about Japan.

Great Performance!
投稿者: Lisa , 2019/11/13This event was all in all a great insight in traditional Japanese Geiko and Maiko art. Singers, dancers and artists were awesome and let to some moments of getting goose pimples ;-)
Unfortunately the previous tea ceremony was a bit disappointing as the room was quite small and not everybody could observe the women preparing tea. Additionally you had to rush as the next group of people was already waiting outside.
