投稿者: すーさん, 2019/11/05普段遠い世界の舞妓さんと、このような形で身近に触れ合える施設があるのはとても嬉しく感じました。程良い人数の参加者だからこそではないでしょうか。
料理、踊り、トーク(質問タイム)、遊び、写真が飽きない流れで展開し、ほとんどの客は外国人でしたが、舞妓さんにちょっとだけ興味のある人なら年齢問わず誰でも満足出来るのではと思います。

体験の後には自分で作った和菓子一つをお抹茶と共に頂くことができ、とても贅沢な時間でした。

投稿者: Nat W. , 2019/11/02I had a fantastic time transforming as a Maiko! The location of the place is fantastic, right in the heart of traditional Kyoto City giving you a nostalgic vibe. The facility is nice and clean. The welcoming lady was so nice and pretty. I’ve always been obsessed with geisha and so grateful for this experience. I got to walk around the area for a while and so many people wanted to take pictures of me. I’d be so excited too to see ones walking on the street even though they might not be the real ones. Thank you so much for fulfilling my wish and a wonderful experience!

Best experience ever! The only way to do Kyoto, esp if you are in a group
投稿者: mmmdream, 2019/10/31Due to physical limitations, my parents can no longer walk far without balance or pain problems, so we needed personal transportation to take us around at our own pace. Based on a very sour experience in Tokyo in all aspects of customer service & complete disrespect/unprofessionalism/lack of manners+courtesy w/respect to accessible needs (yes, I was taken aback but city freneticism & savageness has taken over the city & it's not good!), we had zero expectations when we arrived in Kyoto.
BUT....what we got was a complete 5 star experience from Yuka. Not only did she communicate in perfect English (no where to be found in our "top" hotels in Tokyo that cost an arm+leg), she planned the trip around all my parents' needs with much care & thoughtfulness, went above & beyond her duty to help w/pushing the wheelchair & always attentive to shield my parents' from the pouring rain with her umbrella, staying a bit over allotted time to allow my parents to slowly finish their meals w/o rush, all the time being the most pleasant & entertaining host & safe driver! Mind you, she is not certified as a tour guide (she has the driver's license) and yet she puts both of the other licensed Tokyo tour guides to shame. She single-handedly salvaged this 9-day trip from being a complete rotten disaster! She was so amazing that my dad considered adopting her on the spot! Anyway, thank you Yuka - you have no idea what good you have done. I wish you only the best returns & if we ever come back, we will request you & only you! Please take care of yourself until then <3

A fantastic experience!!!
投稿者: Victoria , 2019/10/30When we arrived to the studio the place was lovely, super clean and the personnel was very nice and professional. The atmosphere was welcoming we were treated very well, the lady that did my makeup was careful and very nice, same thing with my hair.
I loved to see me becoming a legendary Maiko ibthibk the process is beautiful, fulfilled definitely a dream, I got yo choose from tens of Kimono options of a really good quality and variety of colors I could not decide!!!
Finally I picked up my favorite lila tone and the process of dressing is also super exciting, plus you are in front of a big mirror and you almost think it is the real deal, you are like in a Geisha training house!!!! ai think it is really magical.
The photo session was great, very professional and super cute with adequate lighting and good advices I enjoyed that very much the interior location was perfect and the exterior one in a little garden was fantastic.
Finally we had around 45 minutes to walk along the street taking care that the kimono is not damaged or wet of course, and i was a bit shy in the beginning but everyone's reaction was so nice that i just let go and enjoyed the whole experience to the most i took like a hundred pictures with my phone and people were asking to take pictures with us it was so nice.
When we came back the photo book was ready and the quality of the pictures were fantastic. Recommended 100% to everyone this is a very beautiful experience.... once in a lifetime experience!
I didn't want to leave I think, the location is fantastic on the center of the Gion district. Do it, I would actually do it again if I have the chance!!

Half Day Traditional Batik and Indigo Dyeing Lesson in Kyoto
Nice workshop!

First you get to chose your design from the design library sorted by styles.
You can also come up with your own design (a black and white print is all you need)
Then the host teaches you how to apply wax. You get a little training on sample.
Afterwards you can apply wax on the kind of fabric you selected for the workshop with the chosen design.
Once it’s done, it’s time for the dyeing process, which takes 10 to 15mn.
Then the piece of cloth gets dried very quickly, in less than 5 mn.
The result I had on my design was a bit bolder than expected.
I think I got a bit too heavy on the wax and brush ;)
Host is friendly and easy to communicate with in English!

Introductory Traditional Kyo-Yuzen Hand-Dyeing Workshop in a Machiya
Nice workshop!

First you get to choose your stencil design in a big selection well sorted by style.
Then you pick your favorite design and the host shows you how to proceed and make you try the technique a little bit before using the piece of cloth you chose for that workshop.
Then the host lets you practice and is still around if you need help.
It took me a half day, but that was mostly because I am always hard to choose stencils and colors, also I’m slow at painting.
Host was nice, helpful and easy to communicate with in English.

Nice experience!

I made a Shikainamihana basket and it wasn’t difficult.
The host had a good level in English and was patient in showing and explaining all the steps.
It didn’t even take too long to make ! It took about an hour.
This workshop is fine for beginners and totally ok if you speak English!
I recommend going to the Take No Ko shop for the appointement

After getting stranded due to the typhoon and not being able to get to Kyoto for the day of our booking, the site was extremely flexible and allowed us to move our appointment several times to ensure we could enjoy our booking.
There were 3 of us and we had a lovely time with lots of fun choosing kimono colours and the like. Then we went fir a walk around the local area, how did they do it on those cobblestones with the beautiful but heavy outfits!
Great for a bit of fun and also to understand for a moment what the geisha’s lives were like.

最高の思い出
投稿者: みーちゃん, 2019/10/07夕方からのツアーに参加しました。私たち家族３名のみの貸切状態、しかもインストラクター２名付きのＶＩＰ対応をしていただきました。
ラフティングを始める前の注意事項などを聞いているうちに、だんだん「大丈夫かな、不安だな･･･」と思ってしまいましたが、いざラフティングが始まると恐怖心など吹っ飛び、終始笑い声が絶えない、超盛り上がりなツアーとなりました。両親は７０代と６０代なのですが、高齢でも特に問題はなく、今でも京都旅行の話になると「ラフティング楽しかったねー」と話しています。
京都でのはんなりとした観光もとても良いと思いますが、ちょっと刺激的なラフティングツアー、超おすすめです。

投稿者: Clare, 2019/10/06Very enjoyable being made over as a maiko and the stroll plan meant we could take photos by the Kyoto pagoda in beautiful costume as it is close to the studio. Tourists were taking our picture!
The photo shoot was great fun as well as professional and the pics turned out great - they had them ready when we got back from the walk.
Staff were lovely, make up was very well done and the kimonos were gorgeous.
When we called them saying we were struggling to find which building the studio was, they kindly came and found us, which was incredibly helpful of them.
They took cash and card when we were paying the little extra for our Japanese socks

説明が極めてわかりにくい。

説明は日本語だが多くの顧客が日本語を理解しないので、基本的にボディランゲージが主体で日本人の私には全く内容が理解出来なかった。
今年はオーランドでケーキ作り、ナッソーでチョコレート作り、
京都他店で団子作りを楽しんだが、此処ほど説明が理解し難いのは驚き。
日本人顧客がこの店のマイナーである事は分かるが、顧客が中国人なら中国語、欧米人なら英語、と統一してもっと分かり易い丁寧な説明を受けれる様にした方が望ましい。
出来上がりの見栄えが悪くて不味い和菓子は食べれるものでは無かった。

My wife and I had chosen different products to make. Mine was a bit more difficult (ebikago) while my wife's (yorozukago) was simpler and took 30 minutes less to complete. My wife was pleased with the product

Fun Maiko makeover in Kyoto
投稿者: MT New York , 2019/09/05My mom and I had a really fun time getting a Maiko makeover. The make up and kimono quality were great, and the professional photos turned out pretty good. We walked around for a while in our costumes and were swarmed by tourists taking photos.
The only thing is that you can’t get the file copy of the professional photos - it is an additional charge for a CD-ROM, usb or email is not available. They also charge extra for a number of things - different wig, eyelashes, socks, different photo studio photos etc (although these are optional).

ガイドさんのお話が上手で、立ち寄る名所以外の京都の名所の話や、観光の際にチェックするとより面白くなるポイントなどを教えて頂けたりと、移動中もとても楽しめました。昼食はついていませんが、ツアー客向けに席をキープして頂いているお店の紹介があるので、とくにココでなくちゃ！という希望がなければ、そちらを利用すると行列知らずです。

ちょうどいい！
投稿者: みずりん, 2019/08/29 夕方５時の飛行機で帰らなければならず・・でも少しでも京都を見たいと半日コースを申し込みました。
金閣寺、銀閣寺共に人がいっぱいでしたが，堂々とした本物を見て感動でした。清水寺は工事中でしたが，ガイドさんの説明がおもしろく，「また来たい！」と思いました。
３カ所を観光し，余裕を持って帰ることができました。

初めての和菓子作り☆

参加者は12人ほど。
楽しく和気あいあいと、皆さんと盛り上がりました。
説明してくださる先生、説明難しい？と思うこともありましたが、キチンと回って見てくださり、とても親切で本当に楽しい時間でした！
また、それ以外でも職人技を見せてくださり嬉しかったです。
四季折々、和菓子作りも楽しみたいなって思いました！
一時間半見ていたら余裕です。
３つ作成で、１つは抹茶と一緒に頂き、２つはお持ち帰りです。

投稿者: エチゴヤ, 2019/08/27まだまだ夏の暑さを感じる中・・・動く伝統工芸品（美術品か？）とも呼ばれる舞妓さんに逢ってきました～。
京都に舞妓さんの居る街は五つ（祇園甲部・祇園東・先斗町・宮川町・上七軒）ありますが、今回は祇園東・叶家の叶久（かのひさ）さんでした。
お客さんも中国語圏・英語圏＆日本語圏（笑）と多彩でした。
司会は日本語と英語なのですが、同テーブルの上海からって言う中学生くらいの女の子が日本語が流暢で、グループの中国人ガイドさん？そっちのけで司会の方や叶久さんの返答を皆に通訳してました～・・・ビックリ！
でも、外国の方たちにも日本語や伝統文化に興味や親しみを感じてもらえるって嬉しい事ですよね！？
食事をしながら踊りも二曲舞ってもらえて、舞妓さんの説明やQ&Aやお座敷遊び（金毘羅舟々）や、そしてそして2ショットはもちろん他の方の迷惑に無らなければ写真撮影も終始OKと至れり尽くせりです。
夜にこう言うアクティビティーは多いのですが昼ってのは少ないので、初めてって方にも敷居が低く且つリーズナブルなこのアクティビティーはお薦めで～す♪ ^ ^
