Fantastic dinner and show
投稿者: Amy, 2018/06/24My parents took this tour and had a wonderful time. The setting was beautiful and the evening couldn’t have been more perfect with nice warm weather. They really enjoyed the meal of Shabu Shabu and felt the meat was tender and delicious. They really enjoyed meeting the Maiko and admiring her beautiful clothing and make up as well as her dancing. They staff were all very friendly and the included transport back to their hotel was very convenient.

Definitely a highlight of our trip
投稿者: Susan , 2018/06/15We were so glad that we decided to purchase this dinner. The restaurant have an amazing view of the river and eating at the kawandoko (terrace on top of the river) is an experience not to be missed. We got the shabu shabu meal and it was perfect since when we went, it was raining and cold, so it was the perfect warming up meal for us.
The maiko came at around 7 and talk to each of the table, take photos and answer a few simple questions. She can't speak well in English, but she can understand if you speak basic English and very slowly. Then she performed 2 dances, they both very elegant and beautiful.
At around 8 pm, the restaurant switch off the lights, so that we can watch fireflies around the riverside. Apparently this is only happens in June. It was truely an amazing and unforgettable experience for both of us.
The pick up and return transfer is pretty efficient too, very happy overall. Definitely would recommend!

Rare Opportunity to Watch Geisha
投稿者: MaryWilder, 2018/06/13I would recommend this show to anyone who is in Kyoto during the performance period and who would like to see authentic geisha. The costumes and dances were beautiful and well worth the expense. Know beforehand that the show has speaking parts in Japanese with no translation, but an English programme is available for purchase. I opted for electronic tickets through VELTRA and had no issues picking up tickets from the box office. Our tickets included a tea ceremony, where we received delicious tea, a sweet, and a souvenir plate.

投稿者: ゆうこりん, 2018/06/12特に、大人の女性におススメ！女子力アップ間違いなしのツアーです。新緑の貴船。そこは、かつて貴族が涼を求め、山を越えて行った憧れの避暑地。吊り橋の下は清流。滝と川のせせらぎ、カジカの鳴き声。美味しい山の幸、海の幸。そして、舞妓さんとの触れ合いと踊りの鑑賞。最後の締めは、蛍鑑賞など、全てのものが普段では味わえないとても貴重な体験。お店の皆様もとても感じが良く、気持ち良かったです。とても楽しめました。本当にありがとうございました。

Breathtaking experience!
投稿者: C. Yao, 2018/06/11This trip was very pleasant experience. I was there with my mom and we both enjoyed very much. Food was great. Two people share a hot pot, with one big plate of Japanese beef and one plate of vegetable! The highlight was to watch Maikos dance in a very close distance! I can see her holding her pose and dancing slow but gracefully. It is breathtaking! I would say this is the best trip you can do to get the completely Kyoto experience! Love it!!

Very special experience

My family and I were seated in an intimate setting and served tea and sweets while we witnessed a traditional tea ceremony as well as dancing and game playing with the Maiko. After the traditions were presented to us we were permitted to ask questions and take photos. It was a wonderful experience and definitely a highlight of our trip to Kyoto.

初めての座禅体験
投稿者: mado, 2018/05/22友人と京都旅行を計画した際に、観光だけでなくアクティビティもしたいね、ということになり申し込みました。
当日、行きは時間の関係でタクシーを使用したので勝林寺前で降ろしてもらいましたが、敷地が広いので、よく場所を確認してから訪問されたほうがよろしいかと思います。
平日にもかかわらず、大勢の方たちが参加されていました。
座禅は初めてだったので、勝手がわからず心配でしたが、ご住職のお話がわかりやすく座禅に集中して臨むことができました。が、やはり雑念が多いのか、15分という短い時間でも難しかったです。
警策は励ましの意味が込められているとご住職がおっしゃっていたので、私も有り難く警策を受け、身を引き締め、短い時間でしたが貴重な体験ができました。
伺った日は、快晴で新緑のきれいなお庭にすがすがしい風が流れていて、とても穏やかな有意義な時間が過ごせました。
座禅後は、本堂を拝観しましたが、臥雲橋からの通天橋への眺めも素晴らしく、機会があれば秋の紅葉のころにも伺いたいなと思いました。

初めての鴨川踊り
投稿者: ハオりん, 2018/05/16お茶席は芸妓さんのお点前が間近で見られてよかったです。一人だったのでたまたま一番前の席に案内されて、よーく見ることができました。
舞踊劇は真夏の夜の夢を題材にしたものでユーモアもあり、衣装も踊りもきれいで、楽しいだしものでした。いい意味でこじんまりした会場で舞台と客席が近くて芸妓さん達も間近で見ることができて、大満足でした。

Cute Kimono Rental for Couples near Kyoto Station

投稿者: Kirsten, 2018/05/08Hasty staff, I don't like to get rushed. Postive side is you get more time wearing the kimono. After 14:00 very few choises in assecoires (most are taken). Good pointS: effiecient staff, your stuff gets bagged. Located next to one bueautiful park with very few visitors (3). Bad points, they don't offer to take a picture, they don't assist in choosing the kimono on what fits best, it has to be quick. Location is pore in comparison to the giondistrict with more authentic scenery fitting the kimono and more people wearing one. Also the Kyoto Tower-top isnt a very nice place to take a picture, but the.view is beautiful:) if you buy something in the towershops youll get discount for the view ticket!

受付が最悪
投稿者: 先斗町, 2018/05/05受付でベルトラのバウチャーを提示し、支払済を申告したにもかかわらず、受付されず、たらいまわしされた。あげく、地下の事務室まで自身でおりて確認しろとの、最低な対応をうけた。
結局は無事入場できた（当然）が、きちんと予約支払いしているのに、大変不愉快だった。
をどり自体は十分価値のある内容でした。

スタジオプランで大満足。

ゴールデンウィークの最中ではあったが、9時半の予約であったため、全てスムーズに進み、着物などもゆっくり品数もまだ豊富であった。付き添いの私も居られるゆったりとした待合室があり、待ち時間は苦にならなかった。また着物選びの時は、女性であれば連れも呼んでもらえるので、一緒に着物選び出来るのはよかった。
オプションも豊富で受付の時に迷ってしまう。が、撮影が始まっても追加カットに応じてくれたのはよかった。
全カツラと半カツラの違いは、全カツラはスポッと頭から被るもの。よって化粧で隠すがすこしヅラ感が出てしまうことがあるらしい。その場で追加料金で半カツラに変更可。半カツラは生え際のところは地毛を使うのでよりナチュラルな仕上がりになるとか。見ていると、そう説明されると全員半カツラに変更していたので（我が家も半カツラに変更）全カツラが本当にそんなに目立つのか不明。
スタッフは親切で明るい。
自由撮影は10分間だが、厳密に測られる感じでなかったが、我々は10分で十分だった。スタジオ裏のみでの撮影であったが、ちょうど建物が切れるところの奥に三重？塔が見える情緒ある坂の路地があり、京都らしい写真が撮れた。

華やかになります
投稿者: きなこ, 2018/04/18派手なメイクですがさっと仕上げてもらって、着付けも早く、思った以上に短時間で華やかに仕上げてもらいました。
カップルプランだったので単体と2人とで写真を撮ってもらって、ポージングも指示してもらえたのでいい写真が撮れました。
カツラがすこし大きくてすぐズレそうになるのと、写真で見るとちょっとアンバランスかな？と思いました。
プランの中にキーホルダーとブックレットが付いてるのが嬉しいです。

後から提示されるオプション料金が多すぎて
投稿者: ロビン, 2018/04/17外国からの友人に和装体験(舞妓さん)をしてもらいたくて、こちらを利用させて頂きました。
入店して受け付け時に「申し込まれた内容ですと背景が無地で4カットの撮影になりますが」と言われ、追加料金で茶室や床の間などで撮影されたサンプルを見せられました。どう考えたってその方がいいに決まってます。メイク時にも、お化粧をすると自前の睫毛は映えませんと追加料金ありの付け睫毛、髪結いの段になるとより華やかな髪飾りをつけてみませんかとそれも追加料金。私は殆ど御断りしましたが、友人には喜んでもらえる記念をと最大限のオプションを追加しました。細かく細かく追加をつけて、セットプランで満足して利用できないって、プランとしてどうかと思います。気持ち良く利用できなかったことがとても残念でした。

Dream come true
投稿者: Chloe, 2018/04/15The ladies of Maiko Henshin Studio efficiently transformed me from everyday Jane to beautiful Maiko!
The process took me about an hour, and it's a constant flurry of activity - from makeup, hair, and kimono fitting. There was a few ladies in the queue but I felt that I did not wait too long.
The transformation was astounding. My husband couldn't believe his eyes!
We were given 45 minutes to stroll around Gion, and I was issued a bag with a map so I knew where I was going. My makeover looked so awesome a few people thought I was a legit maiko.
Thank you Maiko Henshin Studio for making my dream come true!
Tip - don't eat a heavy meal prior to doing this! Once the kimono is on, you can't go to the restroom!

Wonderful experience. Highly recommended!
投稿者: hqd, 2018/04/15It has been my wish for a while now to meet a maiko/geiko in person, and I finally got a chance to meet Tomichie-san. My family of eight really enjoyed watching Tomichie-san performed the traditional tea ceremony, and we really appreciate our host explaining the different aspects of the ceremony to us. After the ceremony, Tomichie-san performed a dance, then Q&A, and we had some time to play a little game with her. Tomichie-san graciously showed us her beautiful kimono and hairstyle, and was so patience with all of the photos that we were taking. If/when we come back to Kyoto again, we will definitely do this again.

Great Maico makeover experience
投稿者: Catherine, 2018/04/12I actually haven’t even expected to get such seamless experience. All steps of maica makeover were very well thought through, well planned and organized. I was very happy with makeup since I was also offered to choose between several makeup options. And both makeup, hairdo, dressing up was made fast and by highly skilled staff. There was a good selection of nice kimonos as well. I also liked flexible option of taking customized studio pictures.
Would definitely recommend this place!

それなのに自分たちの時は、終わりの約束時間
になると、時間ですと告げられて納得できなかった。
忙し過ぎるのか、とにかく女将さんという人が
いつも落ち着かない様子で、いつもバタバタして
いる感じでこちらも落ち着かなかった。

Definitely worth it
投稿者: Svea, 2018/04/08Since I was travelling on a budget I wasn't sure if it was worth paying the money for this tea ceremony. But it was! I was curious about the tea ceremony as a whole, like the history and the meaning, and I got to learn about that and ask questions. Getting to whisk the tea myself was great. It was everything I wanted. There were 10 people in attendance.
The location is easy to find and easy to get to. I walked there from Ryoanji in a little over 20 minutes.
Thank you very much for your message! Since It was the highest season, we had 10 people in a tea room. Usually much less people.

良い思い出
投稿者: Nekomaru, 2018/04/08アメリカ在住なので、良い体験になると思い娘二人を変身させてみました。期待以上の出来で、半かつらは本当に自然でとてもよく似合ってました。45分の散策は外国人ギャラリーに囲まれて、あっという間でした。普通の着物レンタルよりはかなり高いですが、価値はあると思います。

Kyoto Maiko Makeover and Samurai Dress-up Experience with Optional Stroll Plan
Unforgettable Experience!
投稿者: Post-Uni Tourist, 2018/03/28My sister and I completed this activity together. We loved the location of the facility. It was located in Gion along some streets with beautifully built buildings. It is very much a tourist area with many shops catering different souvenirs and foods (which we happily explored after our time in Geisha attire.
The women were very efficient with the makeup and putting on the kimonos. The whole dress-up took about an hour and since we went early, we didn't really have to wait for others. We opted for the half-wig option (which you pay for in addition in studio) and it was cool, although I think it should be called more as "wig with your fringe." Most of your hair is kept underneath the main wig piece but then they take the first inch from around your forehead area to help cover up the would-be seems. Definitely cool, but I don't know if it was worth the extra amount.
We absolutely loved the walking aspect of our plan. The studio shots were really nice (we paid extra for a group shot), but being able to walk a ways away to take shots outside made it so much more worth it. Plus, with the other people on the street, we took photos with some other people in kimonos (and were also asked for pictures ourselves).
We would do this again in a heartbeat.

We are very happy to hear that you enjoyed taking your maiko pictures.
There are many maiko transformation studios in Kyoto, but I think our shop is the best for foreign tourists.
It is because we have many reservations from overseas, so all staff is studying English now.
Besides, we have English staff, Chinese staff and Spanish staff.
If you have a chance to visit to Kyoto again, we are looking forward to see you someday.
