Known as the city of matcha green tea, Uji is blessed with rich history and culture. Stroll through the beautiful streets while stopping by local tea shops that carry a wide range of Japanese teas.
Stop by the famed World Heritage Site, the Byodoin Temple. Looks familiar? This is the same temple you can find on the back of the Japanese 10-yen coin. Marvel at the structure as you visit the outer grounds.
Take a break from walking to indulge in a delicious Japanese-style set lunch with 5-7 dishes.
During the tour, see how tea is prepared and find out what makes the tea in Uji so special. Take the opportunity to taste the different types of tea to find your favorite.
