Takayama Jinya (Fee not included)
Takayama Jinya, a historic Edo period government office, is a national treasure. Despite its remote location, it was directly governed by the Tokugawa shogunate. Today, it is a bustling morning market known as "Jinya-mae Asaichi."

Shirakawa-go (Free walk: 2h)
Shirakawa-go, known for its heavy snowfall, is a World Cultural Heritage site with about 100 sturdy thatched-roof houses surrounded by mountains. This unique village has preserved its traditional culture to this day, offering a glimpse of Japan's original landscape.
Recommended Walking Course
"Wada House" is the largest thatched-roof house in the area, still used as a residence.
"Kanda House" has a unique structure and a historical saltpeter production site.
"Thatched Roof House Village" is an outdoor museum with 25 houses, temple, shrine, and a water mill.
From late Dec to early Mar, Shirakawa-go is transformed into a snowy landscape!
During the winter, the entire thatched-roof village is covered in pure white, offering a fantastic view.
Many tourists visit as it becomes a scenic spot in winter.
It is recommended to view the entire village from the observation deck. Don't forget to prepare for the cold and wear non-slip shoes.
