A few days before I left for Spain, I happened to come across City Discovery - the Montserrat Monastery Guided Visit + Sitges and Torres Wine Cellars Day Trip. If you are traveling to Barcelona, you must add this guided tour to your itinerary. It is hard to find bilingual tours so this instantly made perfect sense to me since I was traveling with my Spanish-speaking mother. First, I totally loved our tour guide, Lea, she had a wealth of information and had in-depth history on the landmarks we visited, specifically, Montserrat Monastery and Sitges. I also loved the free time we were given to explore on our own...getting up close and personal to the Black Madonna was an incredible moment. The Torres Wine Cellars Day trip was conducted by one of Torres' in house tour guides...extremely knowledgeable folks as well. All in all, I was highly satisfied and would highly recommend this tour and I will definitely come back to City Discovery to book my future guided tour needs.

The tour was very well organized. The tour guide was very informative. You have the opportunity to learn about all three of the features that you would otherwise not have the opportunity to learn if you visited the sites on your own. The wine tour at Torres was very interesting. The Montserrat monastery has a wonderful view from the top. The final portion of the tour to Sitges was our favourite part of the day. This little town is quaint - right along the ocean. There are many shops and restaurants to visit. You could weave your way up and down the streets for several hours. You can also sit an enjoy a beverage along the ocean or if you like you could enjoy some sun on the beach. We would have enjoyed a bit more time on the tour for this part of the day. We were not able to see all of the sites of Sitges that we would have like to have seen. Overall, we really enjoyed the day and the tour group. The group was small so we were all able to participate and learn about the features offered through the day.
