Reviewed by: Will Quek, 2018/04/12Overall it was a great day. Our guide, George was great but a single day trip is not enough for Mt Fuji due to the travelling time. We spent full 5 days (excluding 1 day for Mt Fuji and 2 travelling days) in Toyko and there is still much to do with the museums, parks and especially the culture.
If you really want to visit Mt Fuji, I would suggest spending the night to enjoy the magnificient Mt Fuji, onsen and mother nature.

Long day but worth it
Reviewed by: Lisa, 2018/04/10This was a long bus ride to Mt. Fuji but our tour guide was very interesting and shared the history of Japan and the region. Mt Fuji was beautiful and the traditional lunch was so incredible. Only thing we didn't enjoy was the boat ride and tram to the top of the other mountain. The crowds made it difficult to stay up top very long (15 minutes) as the tram was very slow. The Shinkasen ride back to Tokyo was speedy and fun.

Weather was awful
Reviewed by: Karen, 2018/04/09I realize the weather is out of the control of the tour oppotators, however, we can’t be the first tour that experienced bad weather. And it was clear they had no “Plan B” for when that happened and both Kakone and the cruise were cancelled. Likewise, I know I signed that there would be no refund, but what happened to the tickets for the above activities that we didn’t do?
I’m sure this would be a great experience on a sunny day.

Couldn't be happier
Reviewed by: DiJoyce, 2018/04/06Endo-San was waiting for us at the appointed time in our hotel, he is truly fluent and an excellent guide and we had a knowledgeable and fun day. The other thing that was memorable was our udon lunch in a small restaurant (inn?) which was both delicious and good value. We ended the wonderful day with 45 minutes in an onsen - my first in an open-air onsen, looking at Mt Fuji. Of course thanks to God who gave us perfect weather and thus a marvellous view of the mountain. I would recommend Endo-San to anyone traveller.

Mt Fuji was spectacular.
Reviewed by: David, 2018/04/06I had a perfect day to visit Mt. Fuji. We got to photograph it from different angles with excellent results. Lunch was OK, but the time spent in Hakone and the cruise were pretty much a waste of time. If you can find a half day (morning) trip to Fuji, I would recommend you take it.

Reviewed by: marianne llacer, 2018/04/04the view wAS GREAT except the weather covered up the mt fuji but anyway the tour guide is very good she made some drawings for all of us to understand easily because we are mixed citizens in a group. Very friendly n helpful. Our tour guide gives tips in all areas like queuing in comfort rooms, souvenir shopping n all.
the reason why i put good coz we are already on top of the mountain but didn't see any mt fuji ...its not your mistake on your part its the weather. the rest are all good and the places we went thru have only few cherry blossom trees
Plus my companion sister in law & brother in law are not on the same bus and we are told theres no chance going together in one bus but later i found out it is possible to switch from one buses to another.Instead of group go five we are separate into two groups

Worth it!

Highly recomended!
Reviewed by: Elena , 2018/04/02We really wanted to visit Fuji, and I was looking a way to do it by our selfes.
Then I saw the Veltra tour and I knew that if we went to see all those things by ourselfs, we wouldn't see even half of it.
I was right and I'm realy happy we took the tour.
We saw everything on the list, exept we only went to the 4th stop on Fuji and not to the 5th like it said on the program.
At least we got on the mountain a bit :)
I wish we had more time in the Ninja Vilage. We had the best lunch (the one included in the tour for 2000¥ per person for all you can eat), and we immediately went on the Ninja show for 850¥ (not included in the price of the tour). After that we barelly had the time to visit the gift shop and didn't even strolled through the village it self. I gues we should've hurry with the eating.
All and all we couln't see all that by public transport, and it would've cost a lot more.

Definitely a over hype tour

- veg lunch was good and all
issues were around
- travel times between the sites is high so you end up spending lot of time in travelling rather than on sites
- mount fuji is big let down, nothing much really. just a snow covered mountain
- boat trip is only for 15 mins, so it ends before you know it
- ropeway was also so so. fact that there were clouds on top didnt help as it got so cold that nobody could even go out and enjoy any scenic views
i wouldnt recommend this tour as there was nothing special. the only saving grace was the return shinkasen ride which is a very unique experience. but this can be done standalone also without any tour. dont waste 11 hrs on this when you can do so many things within tokyo.

Amazing Tour!
Reviewed by: Caryl and Peter , 2018/03/31A well organized tour and the tour guide and driver went far and beyond to make our trip memorable even at the beginning that all the stations where closed but that didn’t keep them from trying to make it happen... Fortunately, around 10 or 11am they were given the go signal to go to the 1st station instead of the 5th and we did see the beautiful view of Mount Fuji. I would highly recommend it to 1st time traveler to Tokyo and even to those who are returning. Definitely a must see attractions. A great combinations of places to go and see. It’s all worth your money and a lot cheaper compared to viator. Glad we booked a last minute tour from veltra.

Wonderful tour of Mt Fuji
Reviewed by: Don, 2018/03/28This tour made me enjoy seeing Mt Fuji at our own pace. We were picked up by a good driver and a knowledgeable tour guide. Upon riding the van wee discussed first the final.itinerary. the guide Akiko detailed out the places we were visiting and their significance. So we proceeded as planned to the heritage center shrine lunch near the pond and the lake. My family enjoyed it very much especially at our own pace. I highly recommend this tour to small groups.

Long day, not sure it’s worth the hassle
Reviewed by: Sylvette , 2018/03/21Overall, I suppose the tour delivered alexactly what it said it would. Out your guide, while quite a lovely lady, seemed unsure and somewhat disorganized. She often did not give clear instructions on what to do next.
The day was long, as were the gaps between the activities. I was finished at each location in about half the time, and had to meander for the remaining time. Then, having to drive for an hour to the next activity was quite boring.
The weather was not agreeable on this day, so this may have negatively colored my experience.

Bring Snacks for the ride in case of traffic.
If You have a JR pass, leave the tour at the Shinkansen station which will put you back in Tokyo with plenty of time for dinner and more shopping.

Great Activities

Well worth it if this is your first time visiting Japan. It was quite a relaxing day actually. We took the way back to Japan by bus, but it would have been a lot faster with the train. We weren't worried as much because we just slept on the way.

Wonderful Full Day Tour and Guide!

We wanted to view Mt Fuji but the weather only allowed us to see mostly the base.
Masa customized the itinerary so we could make the most of the tour, we saw Mt Fuji base, Oshino Hakkai ponds, Kirin Whiskey Distillery and the Cherry Blossom Festival in Matsuda.
We highly recommend this private tour :)

Stunning views, excellent service
Reviewed by: Kevin McGeary, 2018/03/08Mount Fuji and its surrounding area have some stunning sites both manmade and natural. Veltra offers bus services from Tokyo to take visitors from Tokyo to explore this historic spot.
The guides are knowledgeable, professional and speak good English.
My only recommendation is, if possible, all visitors should check the weather forecast before booking so they can enjoy a clear view of the evocative Mt. Fuji.

Exceptional private day tour from Tokyo to Hakone!
