Great time, it's a crazy, exciting show!

Reviewed by: Traveler, 2016/02/23

From the moment you are outside the restaurant, it's a crazy experience. It's interesting, entertaining and definitely a fun experience. The entertainers have fun and it's an excellent show with Robots, Drums and Futuristic Creatures and Characters. It's a worthwhile evening. Get there early to get a front row seat.

Mostly Tourists But Well Worth The Price Of Admission

Reviewed by: Joel Hood, 2016/02/06

Robot Restaurant is one of those places that you must experience to understand. The lobby and stairwell are incredibly opulent, tacky, and charming. It's hard for your brain to process. We got there about 30 minutes before showtime and were awarded great front row seats. In my opinion you have to sit in the front row. Everything is right in your face and I mean could possibly take your head off if it were an inch closer. The show is weird, charming, and at some point will make you smile and say wtf. I highly recommend a visist on your next Japan adventure just don't expect to be the only tourist catching the show.

Must-see when you're in Tokyo!

Reviewed by: Shaz, 2015/12/15

It was a super tacky yet eye-opening experience with pyrotechnic, full-sized robots and lasers!

Imagine watching a boss-battle from games that you play in your childhood, in front of your very eyes!

Just a word of caution though, do not be late! We were denied entry for the first act cos we were 5 mins late.

Interesting Show!

Reviewed by: Miki, 2015/11/02

My boyfriend wanted to go to the Robot restaurant show so I booked it through Veltra because of the discounted ticket price. Most of the audiences were foreigners. The show was interesting and flashy. I was impressed with the way they moved the contraptions and robots in the right space without accidents. It was a good experience and I'm glad we went!

Best Anniversary Date Night

Reviewed by: Tasha Schoen , 2015/08/16

First of all I loved the price this website offered. I was skeptical it was a scam of some sort since I had never heard of the web page. I was able to get my tickets with no problem & seats were in the front row. The show was fun & entertaining. Although the women wear skimpy outfits they do not dance in a sexual manner. My seat was next to a kid (10ish) & he really seemed to enjoy the show. I've had many people ask if children were allowed.. So yes they are but use your own discretion (skimpy clothing-location of Cafe). Lights, robots, costumes, dancing, & the decor all make for a fantastic night you won't forget. I personally loved all the foreigners it attracts. Just in my seat I heard 4 different languages around me. I live in Japan myself (American) but there was something refreshing about not being the only "outsider" in the crowd. Non-stop smiles

Lots of fun for anyone

Reviewed by: Gary, 2015/07/06

Yes, it's a bit out of the box, but it's in no way raunchy or weird or degrading. In fact, it's a very mix of mechanics, electronics, theater, music, and talented performances by very fit people. The story line (if there is one) is hard to follow, but who cares! You're there to tantalizes your senses. And the beer and snacks are very cheap. The space is small, which makes the big robots appear even bigger!

Great fun, enthusiastic and talented performers

Reviewed by: Gary, 2015/07/06

I booked a huge group of almost 20 as a fun offsite for me and my coworkers. It was a big hit. None of us had any expectations. The venue is small and cozy. The staff are very friendly and helpful. And the performers... absolutely amazing. They dance, sing, act--all the while lights are flashing, music blaring, and huge robots are being controlled remotely. Would do it again in a heartbeat!

A good laugh and awesome night.

Reviewed by: 018108, 2015/06/07

This was as strange and as weird and as confusing as we had expected. We went in with an open mind and an expectation of having a good laugh at some whacky Japanese show and we weren't disappointed.

Although we left our hotel room at least 2 hours early to arrive in time, we got lost on the way and resorted to catching a cab to the place so while we did catch the show in time, we missed out on sitting in the lobby area which I heard is a mind blowing experience.

I attended the show with a friend and we opted not to get any of the food on offer although we did get ourselves some beers and soda which were reasonably priced.

I definitely would recommend to anyone visiting Japan to try this place at least once. It's whacky, it's strange, it's confusing and it left us asking "what the hell just happened" but where else in the world are you ever going to see something like this?

Strange but very entertaining and fun

Reviewed by: Melinda, 2015/05/24

The show was strange as expected, but in positive ways. Costumes changed many times in 90 minutes with everything from Superman girls to large Pandas riding cows fighting drones to girls in operating a girl robot. Dancers and robots got pretty up and personal. The scene involved loud heavy beats, lots of fog, flashing lights, and enough LED lights, half naked girls, and lasers to sink a boat. Only in Japan!

Out of this world!

Bright lights, loud music and crazy robot performances: an unmissable experience! I had no idea what to expect (and was possibly a little dubious) but I am so glad I booked this show. No where other than Tokyo would whole-heartedly embrace such pure fantasy or do it with such a sense of fun. Its tucked away in an area much like London's Soho, with lots of bars and restaurants around for dinner and drinks afterwards and a great way to start a Tokyo night out.

Fun after work event

Reviewed by: Partying Salayman, 2014/10/16

Finally I went to the robot restaurant!

When I was walking around Shinjuku, I often saw the advertisings for the robot restaurant which looked very interesting, so I decided to go there with my friends after work.

When we arrived at the entrance of the restaurant, I was getting very excited as I saw the super bright showy lights and huge humanoid robots waiting for us. In front of the reception, there were pictures when a famous person visited there, it also made me feel even more excited.

We took a rest at the waiting room as we had enough time before the start time. I felt I just had jumped into an unusual world as there were so many huge screens and bright lights everywhere.
I was surprised by the ratio of the customers, as there were 50% Japanese and 50% foreigners. In fact, they advertise the restaurant in famous fashion magazines as I saw it on their website, so I thought the restaurant is well know among foreigners. It also surprised me that there were many female customers.
Before the show started, I ate the robot restaurant bento box which I ordered beforehand,It was tasty enough. I think it was a great idea to eat something because I used lots of energy during the show afterwards.

Here came the female troopers! They showed actions that they were fighting with armored warriors. There were dances, songs and laughter. By the way, there was a cute panda bear which came onto the stage too. There was someone having a birthday, and everyone was celebrating with the Happy Birthday song. Maybe you should come here for your birthday.
At the climax, a huge robot appeared. When you’re a boy, you adore stylish robots. You see your childhood hero right in front of you dancing. Plus, he’s illuminated by laser beams and lights. Cool.

Before I went, I didn't take it seriously, thinking it would be such a big deal. But it was fun, beyond what I imaged.

As I can probably go there after work, I will recommend it to friends.
