Our family of four (two older teenagers) loved this experience. We were in a class with a number of experienced drummers practicing for a performance. They were practicing particular parts and we could just join in with the basic skills we learnt in the hour and a half without disturbing their practice too much. It meant we could really get the feel of the breadth and complexity and skill involved but we didn’t feel useless. Our instructor spoke enough English to convey the things needed (we have no Japanese so we’re very grateful) and was really enthusiastic and welcoming. It’s just a small random studio in a random street but the instructions to find it worked. We finished with a “competition” between ourselves about who could drum the loudest. Really great fun!!
