Ogawa Town, an hour from Tokyo, is surrounded by the Outer Chichibu mountains. It is known for its 1300-year-old Ogawa Washi and local sake, craft beer, and organic wine production. The town also has a rich history of over 50 years in organic farming.
Join a local guide for a hike in the Shimozato area of Ogawa Town, exploring the natural beauty of the satoyama along the Tsuki River. Discover the rich history and culture intertwined with nature, and experience the blessings of the satoyama.
After the hike, relax at Café Mozart, located in a former elementary school branch nestled in nature. Enjoy the nostalgic atmosphere of the satoyama and childhood memories while unwinding in the café.

Learn hand-made washi techniques from the Hosokawa Paper Technicians Association, recognized by UNESCO, and try making washi yourself. The washi you create will be used the next day for calligraphy to make original sake labels.

kappo : "Japanese fine dining." It refers to a style of cooking and dining that emphasizes traditional Japanese culinary techniques.
Founded in 1748, Futaba started as a ryotei, offering a small bath for valued guests. It later expanded into a ryokan, retaining its ryotei charm. The building, designated as a National Registered Tangible Cultural Property in 2004, was preserved amid the decline of sukiya-style architecture.
Enjoy authentic Japanese cuisine featuring local ingredients, including "Chushichi-meshi," one of Japan's five great rice dishes.
"Chushichi-meshi," one of Japan's five great rice dishes, was created by Chushichi Yagi, inspired by Tetsushu Yamaoka's three disciplines: wasabi for sword sharpness, nori for Zen subtlety, and yuzu for the spirit of calligraphy.
