Togakushi Shrine remains rich nature and historical heritage. With the experience and knowledge of a guide, you will not only feel safe, but you will also be able to experience new discoveries and excitement that are different from walking alone.
A guide will take you around Okusha Shrine and Kuzuryu Shrine as you walk along the 4km round-trip approach to the shrine. We will visit famous places such as Japan's largest cedar avenue and power spots. Enjoy a stroll with the mystical atmosphere and fresh air of Togakushi.
Kuzuryu Shrine, which is said to be the oldest of the five shrines, enshrines Kuzuryu no Okami, the god of Togakushi's landowners, the god of water, the god of rain, the god of cavities, and the god of matchmaking.
The main shrine of Togakushi Shrine, called "Okusha". It is believed to bring blessings such as good luck, fulfillment of wishes, abundant harvests, and victory in sports. The sight of over 200 cedar trees lining the approach for about 500 meters from the Suijin-mon gate is truly spectacular.

【How to get to Okusha Sando Entrance Parking lot】
-By train: From Nagano Station, There are route buses and taxis leave in front of the station. Access by route buses, from Alpico Kōtsū, Nagano station platform 7 to Togakushi Okusha entrance bound for Togakushi Kogen via Loop Bridge(about 1 hour)
-By car: Okusha Sando Entrance parking is available

A guide will take you around Five Shrines of Togakushi. Shrine as you walk along the 8km round-trip approach to the shrine. We will visit famous places such as Japan's largest cedar avenue and power spots. Enjoy a stroll with the mystical atmosphere and fresh air of Togakushi.
The main blessings are said to be safe childbirth, warding off evil spirits, and matchmaking. There are beautiful carvings around the shrine.
Hinomikosha is the smallest of the five shrines and is characterized by its quiet and rustic atmosphere. Revered as the god of bugaku performing arts, the god of matchmaking, and the god of fire protection.
As you pass through the large torii gate, you will see sacred trees that are over 700 years old, as well as the Sanbonsugi, which is over 800 years old. Chusha is said to have divine virtues for academic achievement, business prosperity, good luck, warding off evil spirits, and family safety.
Kuzuryu Shrine, which is said to be the oldest of the five shrines, enshrines Kuzuryu no Okami, the god of Togakushi's landowners, the god of water, the god of rain, the god of cavities, and the god of matchmaking.
