The Ice Carousel is a winter activity where frozen lake or river ice is cut into a circle and rotated. Popular for its magical scenery, the process involves drawing a large circle on the ice, cutting along it to separate the ice, and using water flow or motors to rotate it.

A free shuttle bus operates between Sounkyo Onsen and the venue (10:00–17:30).
Note: From Kamikawa Station to Sounkyo Onsen, please use the paid route bus.

Sounkyo Onsen → (15–20 min by car) → Daisetsu Plaza 273
Note: Parking at "Daisetsu Plaza 273" near the venue entrance is limited.

- The activity schedule is subject to change or cancellation due to weather or traffic conditions.
- There are no restrooms or warming areas at the venue. Please dress warmly before entering. Access to the dam lake venue requires a walk from Daisetsu Plaza 273.
- For restrooms, please use the public toilets at Daisetsu Plaza 273.
- Smoking is strictly prohibited throughout the venue.
- The dam lake is located within a national park. Please refrain from illegal dumping or bringing in items such as oil.
- Parking at the Daisetsu Plaza 273 entrance is limited. Please use the dedicated shuttle bus or hotel transfer service to access the venue.
- Group bus stop reservations must be made at least 3 days in advance with the office. Depending on availability, changes to the stopover time may be requested.
- In case of severe weather conditions such as snowstorms or if the ice on the dam lake is deemed unsafe, the event may be canceled.
- The number of carousels available for viewing may vary depending on the production status.
- Please gather at the venue reception (special site near Daisetsu Plaza 273) on your own.
*This is not the Daisetsu Dam Management Office, so please be careful. - There are no food or beverage sales facilities, so please bring your own.
