Japanese Plastic Food Sample Art Experience in Tokyo
Fun and easy
Reviewed by: Ali, 2018/01/13The venue is small and a little hard to find but the staff is really nice and personable, with just four stations. We arrived a little late but the staff didn't mind. They speak enough English to explain the steps and also have small talk. We learned a little about the history and the process of plastic food and had a blast with the actual project. It was very laid back and relaxed. The process was easily explained and the staff made each step easy to follow as well. It went faster than we expected. I'd do it again!

We are a couple. This shop is in a hotel. It places in front of Nagoya castle. We visited to Osu and Atsuta shrine. It’s not far from this shop by metro. I’m Japanese and my boyfriend is from Europe. I was worried if they don’t have a big size Kimono for him. But it was no problem. All clerks are so nice and friendly.

Great beginners class on Kintsugi!
Reviewed by: Yorsh, 2017/12/23My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our class with Kuge crafts! We started with introductions and some lovely home made cake. Then we got to chose our cups that we will work on and keep. Would recommend to pick a cup with a bigger chip as that would mean a bigger part of the cup will be fixed.
The process was easy to follow as Yoshi showed step by step examples. They also provided the tools and materials (i.e. putty, gold dust, resin etc) which made it a convenient class.
At the end, we received photos taken during the class and a list of tools and materials we can purchase at Tokyu Hands if we wanted to continue back home. The teachers were both friendly, inviting us to write back if we had more questions.
A great class and would highly recommend for a memorable experience!

簡単楽しい！良い思い出となりました

まずはグラス選びから。追加料金で色付きのグラスを選ぶこともできます。その後はデザインを決め、練習→本番。怪我をしないかとても不安でしたがその心配は不要で、想像より安全で平易な作業でした。
決してきれいな出来映えではなかったと思いますが、とにかく楽しくて大満足。このグラスでお酒を飲む度に今回の体験を思い出すんだろうなあ...と今からとても楽しみです！
（一階にあるグラスショップもとても素敵でした。大切なイベントの際にぜひ購入してみたいです）

Shared Yakatabune Tokyo Dinner Cruise with All-You-Can-Drink Plan
For fun times, make it Yakatabune times!
Reviewed by: JNDCali, 2017/11/28We spent a week in Tokyo and this ended up being one of our favorite things about the trip. Amazing service, great food and all you can drink. Tokyo bay is very beautiful at night and this cruise lasted over 2 hours taking us to several nice view points where we could snap photos from the upper deck. Our main host for the evening was Kaoruko, she was so nice and friendly making sure the food was to our liking and made sure we always had a drink in our hand. She would explain the different areas of the bay we were exploring in both Japanese and English so that we could understand. Anyone visiting Tokyo should fit this cruise into their itinerary.

Family Friendly Memorable Kimono Studio Photo Shoot in Nagoya
Mom’s Kimono Photoshoot

I asked her to go with me in Nagoya to have a special lunch and after that we went straight to the kimono studio where all the friendly staff were waiting to do her hair and make-up for the kimono photoshoot. All the employees were so nice they tried to find the right kimono and shoe size for my mom. My mom enjoyed dressing in kimono. I can’t wait to share her beautiful photos. It was an amazing birthday experience for my mom.

Great introductory experience

Yoshiichiro-san and Yoshiko-san were wonderful hosts and took the time to explain the process and let us take as long as we needed to perfect our repairs. Initially, I wanted to repair a fully shattered object rather than a small chip but actually repairing the two chips on my cup still took around 2 hours to do well, so any larger repairs would be over ambitious for a complete beginner. I would recommend this session to anyone interested in Kintsugi and enjoy your bonus cake and tea as well!

飲み放題も自分ではなく、ちゃんとオーダーすれば持ってきてくれるシステム。

The helpers were extremely sweet and enthusiastic about the history and process of food sample making. It took perhaps 30 minutes in total for the session-we chose to do the Full Size Parfait with 6 Pieces of Fruit. It was very quick. All of the pieces were pre-made. All we focused on was creating the parfait base and swirl. Very straightforward, fun little craft, also great souvenir to take home. Was just under the impression the process would be a bit more hands on - perhaps with the other options available? Interesting experience, would recommend to others to try at least once.

We were properly dressed in the grand wedding kimonos and then driven by the photographer in a 7 seater car to Yusentei, a wonderful house with a garden. Every time we move our assistant would adjust our kimonos. Service was excellent. The photos were very nice!
