Private Mt. Fuji & Kawaguchiko Day Tour from Tokyo with Customizable Itinerary
Cold and wet, but still amazing day!
Reviewed by: Jeremy, 2019/04/14Booked this tour a couple of months ago, when the weather forecast said it will be sunny. Unfortunately, the day of the tour itself, there was rain and snow, obviously Fuji-san would be a no-show. However, Taiji made the tour as comfortable for the group as possible, offering alternative activities for the day, since the situation is beyond anyone's control. Have to admit, Fuji-san was just the really optional part of the tour, and the priority was Gotemba Outlets. So we spent more the most part of the day there, taking our sweet time shopping and enjoying what the day has to offer. Taiji is very friendly, on time, drives safely, adaptable to our requests who would go above and beyond. Over all, I would have to say we were in very good hands, and I couldn't have asked for anyone better, would book a tour with them again in the near future.

It was very rushed, crowded experience.
Reviewed by: Sam&Cisco, 2019/04/06We were picked up from a nearby hotel to our own hotel. we were picked up with a bus which goes to our actual transport bus. There were around 3 or four busses which were to same direction to mount FUJI all together 100 people only from the same company which is GRAY LINE.
First stop was mount Fuji 4th station. (We were told that 5th station was closed due to weather conditions, which is OK) however the problem was to enter 4th station it took 40 minutes, as I believe there were many other tours.
Super crowded, people were on top of each other to take pictures of Fuji view. The queue in front of the toilet was long impossible to use.
Indeed we were only given 20 minutes in the area.
By the time you get off and on the bus is already a lot of time passed.
After that next station was lunch break, it was given only 30 minutes, which I am glad we requested no lunch as well.
When we goy on the boat on lake Ashi, there was no place to sit down, boat was overcrowded obviously we stood indoors.
Overall I wanted to see mount FUJI close by which was done.
But it was rushed and very crowded. Tour guide was robotic overall no enthusiasm.
If you are OK with such tight schedule and dont mind being rushed everywhere it is alright.
I believe these kind of tours have a limited quota and not oversold just for money.
End of the day it was over 100 dollars per person still with no lunch.
You might better do the tour by yourself or pay more and find a private kinda tour.

He paced the entire trip nicely taking into account our speed, to the extent of serving our food needs and even accompany us to shopping to wherever we want and with such patience for a man! Encourage all to book him!

Less than 24 hours and still got confirmation that's awesome!!
Reviewed by: Dawn, 2019/04/04This tour was wonderful! I think the only downfall was because the weather was overcast so didn't get to see really good majestic pictures of Mt. Fuji but no fault of anyone but nature. LOL. The tour guide was very well versed in knowing all there was about cities, history, and spoke pretty good English. Everything went very smoothly and the traditional Japanese style lunch they planned was also right on point. I ate my very first and famously known black hard boiled egg straight from the site itself. Looking forward to the next trip and more planning through Veltra. Use Veltra as well as they seem to have more variety when all the other sites were all sold out, instant confirmations on most and a bit cheaper too. All bonuses!!

Overall a good tour apart from the Lake Ashi tour
Reviewed by: WLN, 2019/04/03Staff service was very good even prior to the start of the tour. At pickup point staff made sure we were at the right tour and everyone was on board. On the actual tour bus the guide talk about the different sights in Tokyo city before we got out of the city, and through out the drive to Mt. Fuji provide us with various cultural and scenic information. We had a good view of Mt Fuji, even though we did not get to the 5th Station. The ropeway ride was also good and well guide but the tour guide to make sure we got on board. The disappointing part was the boat ride on Lake Ashi - since our tour was part of a larger group of people, too many in our opinion as we had no place to sit down and had to stand in several crowded areas until we reach the other side. So we had no commentary about the Lake and it surrounds, so basically it was just a ferry ride to the other side of the lake. The guide look after us during lunch and had a place for us to sit even though we did not get a lunch package, and finally made sure we got the the Odawara Station OK and directed us to the correct train and platform.

A very fun trip
Reviewed by: Sim, 2019/03/27At first we were worried about the pickup service, since we are not sure which bus to board, but then there is actually a guide? Which will meet us at the pickup location and check the attendance, then only we board the bus to daiichi hotel and change to another bus to hakone. The way to hakone from daichi hotel is about 2h30min, but we get to have a 15min break after an hour on the bus and we are also able to see mt fuji from the break spot. We have mr yoshi as our tour guide, and he was informative. While in the bus, mr yoshi also teaches us how to count from 1-10, sang a mt fuji song, and fold an origami of mt fuji. The lunch was also delicious.

Time at premium outlet was quite short and rushed, after we managed to settle our late lunch there. The tour guide could have provided more info about the scenic areas or share some history about those places. His sharing were very brief compared to other day tours that we have joined.

Mt. Fuji Private 1-Day Tour with Sake Brewery & Suntory Whiskey Distillery Visit

The sake brewery did not have an English translation but the guide translated for our group. We went to a great spot for lunch that was recommended by the guide. Amazing, I recommend the tour and especially if you need help with translation. Our driver was very friendly and accommodating interacted with the party. Highly recommend the tour.
Thank you very much for joining our tour. The restaurant we went used malted rice in their food, a result of the fermentation of Sake which is a portion of healthy food and gives tenderness to meat. It is called Kome Koji.
You can also find a naturally sweet rice drink (juice) called amazake known to have an anti-aging effect.
I hope the wine you bought at the supermarket was good also.

Reviewed by: Sara , 2019/03/15Overall was very impressed with the day trip. Coach was comfortable and didn't feel like the journeys were too long overall. Host was very nice and informative.
Only two slight downsides to note was that we went for the 'no set lunch option' thinking there would be a shop to purchase food from or the option to pay for lunch when we got there but neither was correct.
Also, slightly surprised we did not get closer to Fuji.
Overall would definitely recommend.

Great family tour, lovely guide - Highly recommend this tour!
Reviewed by: Tracie, 2019/01/27While on holiday in Japan we participated in the Mt Fuji and Hakone sightseeing tour with Gotemba outlet shopping guided tour guided by Vicky, who was wonderful and very helpful to us Aussie’s with her excellent English.
It took a little while to find the meet up spot because the Subaru building was under construction, it did not take long however for us to find our guide with her sign as indicated in the meet up instructions.
The first stop was a lengthy but nice drive in an air conditioned vehicle which gave us a great opportunity to see some country side along the way. Vicky spoke to us a little on the way to share information about our upcoming adventure.
Our first stop was in Hakone where we cruised Lake Ashi on a pirate ship, although it was very cold the lake was beautiful with 360 degrees of magical views. We took a bunch of photos which Vicky was more than happy to assist with.
Once we crossed the lake we started on the cable car after a quick pit stop at the souvenir store. The weather was very overcast, the fog and steam didn’t allows much of a view of anything not right in front of us (The clouds and steam broke as quickly as it arrived the whole time we were there, somehow this added to the adventure. I really enjoyed watching the speed with which our view left and returned). We were blessed with moments of breaks in the clouds showing us the top of Mount Fuji from Owakudani.
After that we took a trip to a shopping outlet, the outlet was much bigger than I anticipated, again Vicky shared with us information about the layout of the outlet which enabled us to make the most of our time there. We then began our trip home with beautiful photos and great memories.

Mt. Fuji and Hakone Sightseeing Tour with Gotemba Outlet Shopping from Tokyo
Fantastic day out for fantastic price!
Reviewed by: Brad, 2019/01/27On the 12th of January my family & I took part in the Mt Fuji & Hakone sightseeing tour with Gotemba outlet shopping guided tour. The meet up point for our journey was clearly stated however the land mark building used as a directory was under renovation which made it a little tricky to locate. Many tours were leaving from this location, we soon found our guide with sign as promised.
The trip to Hakone was quiet & comfortable with air conditioning, our tour guide Vicki spoke good English & provided us with great information on the upcoming activities and local history. On arrival, we were given ample time to locate a lavatory & buy umbrellas for mild downpour we encountered, as well as find some morning tea before departing on our pirate ship cruise.
We boarded the pirate ship to cruise Lake Ashi. The boat ride itself was cold but the views more than made up for it. Vicki happily took photos of our family which was greatly appreciated.
We then arrived for our cable car journey, we were given time to browse the souvenir shops prior to boarding the cable car which was fun & surprisingly calm for our family members with a fear of height, it did not make them nervous at all, and the view was spectacular! The cable car took us to Owakudani to sample some black eggs and view the gas releases in the dormant volcano. This is the place we had hoped to for a great view of Mt Fuji, as our hopes were fading due to cloud cover, the clouds broke just in time for us to see Mt Fuji, again our guide Vicki was present and ready to take photos for us.
Off to a shopping outlet in Gotemba, here we were able to eat some spectacular treats in the food court and make a few small purchases of souvenirs. There were many offerings of well known western outlets for those who love their brand names.
Overall the tour was enjoyable and well directed, i would highly recommend this tour for those wanting a view with a difference of Mt Fuji.

1. Met by Shinjuku station, the meeting place instructions were a bit confusing but it actually ended up being right outside of the train station exit on the same block as where you exit
2. Our group was small, 6 including the guide, I preferred it to the big tour bus with a lot of people. The van was medium sized with plenty of seats and space and there was a guide and driver.
3. If you are someone who needs a lot of history and guidance this trip is not for you. But I enjoyed the fact that they dropped you off and told you what time to come back. We went to Hakone then shopping and had a boat ride in the middle where you can see Mt. Fuji.
4. Could have used a little more instruction and guidance but I also liked being left alone as well. This is a good way to catch a ride and get around and the guide will buy your tickets so it was pretty worry free.
5. Overall, recommend, I would boo again. But I think it's helpful to know that this is not "hold-your-hand" kind of tour, at least not our experience. Could have used a little more communication and instructions and maybe some water in the van...but overall, it was a very pleasant experience and I would book with them again.

If you’re lucky enough to get Ms. Micomisan as guide chose this with Mount Hacone in package

Fujisan is a symbol of Japan and all the respect for it........but if you’re coming from Central or Eastern Europe will be disappointed, whatever give a chance to this trip is absolutely worthy.... I recommend the coach rather than Shinkansen.... drivers they are impeccable!

Wonderful guide, beautiful tour

Gave us a lot of information on Mount Fuji, and on Japan in general. At each step (sight-seeing, ropeway, boat ride) we got very clear instructions, and it enabled everything to run smoothly. As a one-day tour, this is as good as it gets. For those who would like to take it easy and see more of Hakuna, probably I would recommend to do it on their own and stay at least one night in Hakuna.

My only knock on the tour was the stop at the sulpher area. We were there for too long and it just wasn’t that interesting. I’d much rather spend more time on Mt. Fuji. Otherwise, the bus was comfortable and the trip was well worth it.

Perfect Day at Mt. Fuji

Fuji, the view was clear and unobstructed the whole time we were on the tour, which is highly unusual. The view from Owakudani was especially beautiful! Our tour guide, Eiko, was very knowledgeable and funny, sharing lots of useful extra information that tourists may not otherwise know. Lunch in Gotemba was excellent, especially the tasty manju dessert! I had to buy a box to take home.

It becomes difficult to manage the food.
Would be good if we have McDonald's or KFC, which would be preferred by most of travellers.

As said, we had a very difficult day with the weather but nevertheless thank you so much for leaving such kind comment. I work and do all the best especially on a cloudy day knowing that the priority of Fuji tour is to see and get good shots of the mountain.
