初めてで難しかったけど、楽しみのが勝った！
投稿者: WAKANA, 2019/03/30・"江戸切子のオリジナルグラス制作体験"という言葉に惹かれて姉と二人、参加させていただきました。
グラスも、大きさや色等によって別途料金がかかるものもありましたが、透明な物だけでなく、色々な色があってどれも綺麗でした。
彫る前には、彫り方等の説明があり、勿論ガラスを実際に練習で削ってみることも出来ました。
スタッフの方が自分が彫ったものに対して、こうするともっと綺麗に出来ますよ、等アドバイスをくださるので、とてもわかりやすかったです。
さすがに初めてだったので、出来はあまり良いものとは言えない見た目になってしまいましたが、何ヵ所か、まだ上手く出来た気がする柄もあるので、良かったです。

Easy and fun!

We don't speak Japanese, so he tried his best to explain what he could in English. He also used a Pocket Talk to translate. We wish we could have gone back another day to do it again!

So much fun!

He tried to explain what he could in English, and what he felt he had difficulty with, he used a PocketTalk to translate. We felt so comfortable and can't wait to go back!

伝統文化を体験できる貴重な機会

様々なグラスから好きな形を選び、希望の柄を彫ることができます。
先生が丁寧に教えてくれる為、初めてでも希望のイルカやリュウグウノツカイを彫ることができました（参加するときには作品の具体的イメージがあるといいかも知れません）。
伝統文化を体験でき、非常にいい思い出になりました。

Worth the trek!
投稿者: Wandering American , 2019/03/14The sample workshop is tucked away in a residential neighborhood, but it was easy enough to find. We were a little worried whether the trip would be worth it as we made our way to the studio, but our fears were laid to rest when we were greeted enthusiastically by the owner who really made the experience priceless. My kids loved learning about how the samples are made and making their own. We had a blast!

Fun class

難しかったけれど楽しかった！
投稿者: ガッチャマン, 2019/01/15予約時間より15分ぐらい早くお店に着いてしまったのですが、快く案内して頂きました。最初にグラスの種類、その特性（加工しやすさなど）、料金について丁寧な説明があり、そのあと割としっかり練習させてもらえます。その時の自分の力量をふまえて（笑）、グラスの種類とデザインを決めるといいと思います。夫と自分ではデザイン性が全く違っていてその点も面白かったです。制作時間は決まっているので、あまりに細かかったり手の込んだデザインにすると、最後の方は焦ってしまうかもしれません。その点、私たちは偶然ですが早めに制作を始めさせてもらえたので、作品の撮影も含めて時間内に終えることができました。当然ですが、不出来な部分も多々ありますが、先生がある程度は手直ししてくれるので安心です（笑）夏に冷たい飲み物をこのグラスで飲むのが楽しみです。とてもいい体験ができました＾＾

The best part are the instructors, extremely friendly and accommodating. Tried their best to communicate in simple English and was sooooo polite. Thumbs up for them!

丁寧な対応で楽しめました！
投稿者: かりん, 2018/10/31主人との結婚記念日に何か思い出の品を作りたいと思い、参加させていただきました。グラス選びから始まりましたが、種類もたくさんあり、好きなものを選ぶことができました。体験は練習もきちんとあって説明もわかりやすく、とても安心できました。刃を触っても指が切れたりする心配が全くないので安心して作業を行うことができます。加減は難しいですが、何かあったら先生が手直しもしてくださるので、とても満足できる物が仕上がりました。難しい柄を選んだことで少し時間がかかってしまいましたが、急かすこともなく丁寧に対応していただけましたし、最後にインスタ映えしそうなライトアップした撮影スポットでの撮影もさせていただけました。写真をインスタに載せると、友達からどこでやったのかとたくさん聞かれました。この満足度でこの値段はとてもお安いです！

The location is easy to find and just one stop from Ikebukuro. Our fake Ramen is a nice memory, that will us remind of our time in Japan.

Good learning experience

However I expect to learn from the very basic step, knowing that we tend to just stick one thing and another made me a little bit disappointed. 丁寧な指導で出来上がった作品の撮影環境もバッチリ！
投稿者: 名古屋人, 2018/07/23まず指導が丁寧。品のいいスタッフ。練習もちゃんとさせてもらえます。老眼の人は老眼のメガネが必須かも。
出来上がった作品は、窓越しに見えるアサヒビールのオブジェを入れて撮影可能。またライティングがしっかりしている専用撮影場所もあって良かったです。
出来上りの作品は買った商品のように箱詰めされ、オリジナルのペーパーバックに入れてもらえます。

デザインを考えてなかったので行き当たりバッタリでしたが、楽しかったです。
途中で自分の下手さにへこみましたがなんとか仕上げました。先生が上手に出来てますよ！と慰めてくれます。友達とリベンジを約束しました。いつになるかわかりませんが、また伺います。

My favourite experience of the holiday!

The shop/factory is situated in a lovely little area of Tokyo (near Kita-Ikebukuro station) - easy to get to, and very welcoming on arrival. Our teacher did not speak much English, but was so helpful and demonstrated everything we needed to do. He also borrowed a translator from his colleague to ask us about our holiday plans and to recommend activities.
Myself and my friend came away with our beautiful miniature sundaes, and also some other purchases from the shop for friends and family. Absolutely delightful! Do make this a part of your trip to Japan.

Great experience making food samples!

They explained the processes behind creating each type of sample. It really gives you an appreciation for their craft since they take so much care in doing it. The staff guides you in making the sample of your choosing. Highly recommended!

ある程度の土台と、パーツは出来上がっているので手順も簡単ですし、見た目もかわいい。チャームになっているので完成後も実用的で本人も大満足していました。

食品サンプルの歴史と種類をわかりやすく説明していただいた後は実践！
本当のお菓子作りのような工程で作り上げていくのは楽しいです。パーツは出来上がっているのでカンタンですし、見た目もカラフルで仕上がりもとってもキュートです♪

Fantastic experience for the whole family!

The kids loved doing it, and they now have great souvenirs that were thoughtfully packaged for traveling. Also, there were two small parks near the location on the way to the train station for the kids to release their energy.

ちょっと難しい！けど楽しい！
投稿者: しーちゃん, 2018/06/01旅行先で工芸品の体験ものがあると参加している。いろいろな工芸品の中でもちょっとコツをつかむのが難しいものだと思う。削ってしまったところはやり直せないので思い切りが必要。失敗したとしてもそれも思い出ということで… 好きなグラスと好きな図柄を選ぶことができるが、凝りすぎず楽しむという気持ちが一番！ 思うようにできなかったところもあるが、貴重な体験ができて満足。出来上がったグラスも大事に使いたいと思う。

One of the best things we did in Japan
投稿者: Faerirose, 2018/05/30I vacationed with a group of 5 people and for the plastic food experience we made a total of 4 different items: full size parfait, mini sundae, ramen, and fruit tart. We had a blast.
The staff explained well in English and helped and guided when we had problems (not big problems and they were problems of our own making as non-professionals - they fixed an overworked piece of wax and guided a better parfait swirl).
The atmosphere there was really fun and energetic. There are 4 tables in workshop 3 so other people are making stuff at the same time. Our food turned out wonderfully. We would absolutely do the plastic food activity again.

投稿者: Noji, 2018/05/27毎年姪っ子の誕生日に親は抜きでオバ二人で出かけて遊ぶと言うイベントをやってますが、小学四年になったので動物園や遊園地じゃない何かをと探してて、難しいかもと思ったけど江戸切子の体験に参加しました。
説明をしてくれたお兄さんの客観的な説明をどのくらい理解出来たのか不安に思いましたが、怪我もせず、来年も来たい！と今までで一番いい評価でした。ありがとうございました。

Wonderful experience!
投稿者: Christin, 2018/05/21I made an Ice Cream Food Sample and I am really happy with it! Every step was explained really well, there was no rush and the English instruction was also good. Making the ice cream part was not too easy, but I got assistance at first and later on could chose if I wanted to do it on my own(which I did). I'm really happy with the whole experience and the result! Everybody was really nice and seemed to have as much fun as we were! Thank you very much!
