Sacred Falls Adventure - Wailua River Kayak, Hike & Waterfall Swim
Fantastic!

Our guide, Logan, was absolutely fantastic. The hike was great, and three generations of our family were able to do it, from 70 years old to 7 years old. The kayaking was calm and pleasant, and the waterfall was truly amazing. We got plenty of time at the waterfall, and it wasn’t too crowded- we got photos of just our family in the waterfall. This was a highlight of our entire Hawaii trip!

Fantastic experience

The tour was a fantastic experience - stunning views and amazing sights. We especially loved the snorkelling at Niihau Island and seeing the rare marine life. From the great views of the canyon to the deep seas along the island, this tour was one of our highlights of the holiday. Crew members were extremely accommodating and helpful and made the experience top class.
We will definitely return and do the tour again when we get the chance.

40 Years Later

While on this trip, we celebrated our 40th anniversary. We took the Wilua river cruise to the Fern Grotto 40 years ago on our honeymoon, and I'm happy to say that the best parts of this experience have not changed.
We were happy with the new decking in the Grotto, I only wish that they had wheel chairs available at the Grotto. My wife was unable to make it all the way to the main platform, so she missed out on the best part. Our main goal was four our three daughters and our grandson to see it, and they did!
Thank you for another great experience!

Lovely cruise provided by great staff with hula, singing, music, story telling, walking tour, and an overall great time. Bring water, sunscreen and possibly bug repellent. Will do this again next time we are on the island.

My experience to the Sacred Water Falls

I enjoyed the location, but it is impossible to appreciate it during the hike or walk … it was very fast and unable to take pictures…. The description was the hike was by the “flat river bed”, but is was not .. it was walking on top of boulders, branches, wet ground, steep up and down….and Too many groups at the same time (crowded) or overlapping .. our group had 15 minutes at the waterfalls, not enough time to eat or get into the waterfalls…which also was very crowded with other groups….
Our tour guide was excellent…!!
Aloha Silvana, Allot has changed since we first marketed this tour 38 years ago as the "Secret Falls"; as you experienced, it it the best known secret. That said, even with the crowd at times, it is still a nice way to spend the day. Thanks for warning potential patrons that the road to the falls, is unpaved and uneven at times and can be challenging for some. Glad you enjoyed our guide and I guess excellent is good enough. Great trip for any one that has problems walking or doing large hikes. Nice boat ride as you see nature along with kayakers . The more adventurous people would probably prefer that method of seeing the area. On the boat they taught a hula dance. Gave some interesting info on the walk. It is an easy trip.

Great Experience

My family went on this excursion to the Grotto because it looked so good in the brochures. The boat ride up and back was the best part in my opinion. The workers on the boat were very entertaining and told the history of the river and the Grotto.
On the way back they let us place our flowers in the river and tell a little about our mother who had passed away just a few days prior to this part of our trip.

This cruise is awesome. Glenn the captain and his staff are phenomenal. Very attentive to your needs. Very caring and made you feel at ease. The sea was rough but he handled the cruise real well and took us to the most phenomenal view of the sunset and the coast. Ahren, Heather and Kevin were great.

Best ever tour for the money

My wife and I enjoyed this tour more than all of the others. It was a beautiful, leisurely trip down the river to Fern Grotto. The scenery, and entertainment was wonderful! $30 per person is the best deal on the entire island. Don’t forget to tip.

Fern Grotto was beautiful

The cruise was okay. Due to the roof on the boat, it was difficult to see much. You walk a paved path to pretty scenery. Lots of people.

Amazing Kauai Experience!

Our family of four had a fantastic time kayaking and hiking with Tyler. He was personable and extremely knowledgeable of all things Kauai. We would definitely recommend this experience to anyone seeking a little adventure and (more) beauty in their trip to Kauai. Mahalo!

The river cruise was fantastic! Last time we did this was 2007. This June 2022, took my children and grandchildren and they had a good time. A little suggestion, maybe next time, take the cruise a little further down where at least we can get a glimpse of the water fall, that will be awesome!!!!

Boat ride was so relaxing!

The tour was so nice and relaxing! Skipper and the rest of the staff was amazing. The waterfall at the end was breathtaking!The walk in to the fall was 10-15mins and along the path are different plants natives to Hawaii. Would definitely do again! Mahalo.

光の反射が少し残念

体験談を読み、前席〈ファーストクラス）であれば、光の反射がなく絶景が見れるとのことでしたが、前席でも光の反射で見にくい時がありました。でも、後席よりは格段に良いと思いますので、ファーストクラス指定が良いと思います。
ツアー催行日の前日の夜に催行会社からホテルに電話があり、予定していたフライトが整備点検のためキャンセルになったとのこと、代替のフライトが２時間後でしたので大きな問題はなかったですが、ホノルルから日帰りので予定の方は、帰りのホノルル行きのフライトは余裕を持ったスケジュールにした方が良いと思います。

Not worth it if you have to get transportation there…

The tour was nothing to write home about. The captain had corny jokes; from the boat, you couldn’t see anything but the hau trees that lined the river; once you get to the grotto, it’s a pretty view but you’re 50-100yards from the cave entrance. The family sang but with all the people there, you could barely hear.
The taxi ride from Poipu was $70 each way. Add that to the cost of 2 tickets($60), this tour was not worth $200. Had we been located closer to the harbor, we might have been able to justify the cost.

River Cruise to Fern Grotto

The experience was okay, and easy for most. The river cruise was relaxing and walk to the Grotto was not strenuous. However, the Fern Grotto was disappointing. It did not look like a "grotto" at all. The musical entertainment was okay but nothing to rave about. Something to do for seniors and children; otherwise, the tour is nothing to be excited about.

We had a great time with the kayak to the sacred falls. Our tour guide T was phenomenal. He was very personable ( even learned all 12 of our names during the trip) and taught us many things along the trail. We are novice kayakers and felt that the trip was well suited to our abilities. The hike was very easy as well. Would highly recommend and would like to say a huge thank you to T for making the experience over the top.
