Fern Grotto Tour
投稿者: Dave, 2013/06/13The Smith's Fern Grotto tour was a good way to see the fern grotto and understand some of the history. There was a 20 minute boat ride to the fern grotto landing, time to take pictures, presentation of a Hawaiian Wedding song, complete with hula interruption and demonstration of various hula dances on the boat ride back. All in all - recommended tour.

ダイナミック
投稿者: hawaii love, 2013/03/30カウアイ島に行ったのが今回初めてで壮大な自然がみたくて参加しました。朝日ので前に船に乗り日の出を見ながら朝食を食べその後ダイナミックで想像以上の景色を楽しめました。 シュノーケリングでタートルを間近でみれたのも嬉しかったです。

面白くなかった。
投稿者: Jun Hamasaki, 2013/01/14早朝６時にポート・アレンに集合とあるのに５時４５分に行ったらお店の電気も点いてないし係員もいませんでした。駐車場も案内も不親切です。前夜に低気圧が通過したせいか船の揺れが激しく雨模様の天候もあってナ・パリ・コーストの絶景も楽しめませんでした。スノーケルは水が冷たく波が高かったのですぐに船に上がりました。ランチは普通でしたが帰路の揺れが半端じゃなくて船酔い続出で僕も戻しました。結果的にはスピードボートじゃなくてカタマラン・ヨットでゆっくりとコーストの景色だけを楽しんだほうが良かったとおもいます。参加してつらかったアクティビティでした。

Disappointing
投稿者: jcaruthers, 2012/11/05My new husband and I went on this River cruise as recommended by our travel agent as the most romantic thing we could do for our honeymoon.
The only romantic thing about it was the Hawaiian wedding song while we stood on a deck with 100 other people. This would not be my idea of romantic. Maybe it used to be a romantic place to go when you could go inside the cave but now it just looks like a rock wall with some ferns in it.
We didn't get the best start to our boat ride but we were both disappointed when we arrived to our location. The entertainment was fun and were really the only reason the trip was worth it. I wouldn't recomend it to anyone as a place to see on their honeymoon. The only thing that redeemed it was that it was probably the cheapest thing we did while we were there.
Since this site won't let me pick wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I chose families.

Okay not great
投稿者: Peggy - Global Traveler, 2012/08/0620 years ago this was a really great trip as you were able to go inside the cave and the water fall there was more than a trickle. Since the Iniki Hurricane in the 90's that is no longer possible. The landslide that happened ended the cave tour part and ended the waterfall being as it was.
I would recommend this to any one who has just landed in Kauai, older couples perhaps, who have never seen a fern grotto of any kind. For kids it is boring. Heard that a few times :)
As for a wedding... I would honestly not recommend this particular trip as it is average or just okay. The boat trip up and back in the boat was the best part. For wedding parties I would honestly recommend arranging something with the Smith Family or one of the local Resorts and doing it as part of a Luau. That would be better. Hawaii Activities can help you find many other events that would be better for a wedding. They rock!

シダの洞窟 観光遊覧船 ハワイ唯一の航行可能な川を行く！＜英語ガイド／半日＞
シダの洞窟
投稿者: イキ, 2012/05/02日本からハワイへ、さらにカウアイ島へ飛んできたその日の午後に参加しました。時差ぼけの状態なので子どもも連れてのハワイ初日はこのぐらいの穏やかなアクティビティがちょうどよかったです。
同じ敷地内にある、「ハワイ伝統饗宴ルアウと神聖な儀式イム！スミス・トロピカル・パラダイス・ルアウ」と組み合わせてもよかったかもしれません。私たち家族はカウアイ島最終日にルアウを分けて見ましたが、同じ船に乗っている人の中では、この船の後に夕食とルアウのショーを見る予定である人が結構いました。
シダの洞窟はきれいでしたが、家族みんな蚊に刺されました。虫除けを塗っての参加をお奨めします。

WE HAD A GREAT TIME !!!
投稿者: BETH, 2012/02/27Six of us just returned from Oahu and Kauai!! Had a WONDERFUL time!!! And the Fern Grotto boat ride was just really nice!! The staff was WONDERFUL, and they made us all feel so welcomed!!! We just really had a GREAT TIME!!! I would recommend this to anyone!!!! The walk to the fern grotto was EASY, and the photo ops were priceless!!! Just alot of fun with my friends!!

最高！！

出向してすぐ日の出があったり、イルカに遭遇したり、
大満足なツアーでした。
ナパリコーストも凄く綺麗で、映画の世界にいるようでした。
ニイハウ島へは上陸できませんが、近くの海辺でシュノーケリングができます。海もとても澄んでいて綺麗でした。
ただ全てが英語での説明なので、英語がしゃべれる人がいた方がより楽しめるのかな？と思います。

投稿者: Ca1rob, 2011/09/20If you want to experience the ride of a life time then this is the voyage for you, from the crew, the Napali Coast and spinner dolphins and over to Niihau Island and Snorkeling at Lehua in crystal clear water everything was just perfect, we went in mid sept this yr and had only 27 people on the 65 foot cat and plenty of room, snorkeling was the best, even saw a Monk seal a couple of rays and a octopus, the seas coming back across the channel were very calm for us, we might have been very lucky, but again don't miss this wonderful voyage its worth every penny.

What a ride
投稿者: dearljade, 2011/09/15We really enjoyed this cruise. The Na Pali coast is very beautiful. The breakfast and lunch was great. The snorkeling was fantastic. Getting to see a monk seal basking in the sun was really great. The ride home was the only part of the trip that was challenging. I recommend anyone taking this cruise to take a dramimine before departing. On the ride back the crew passed out plenty of buckets, people were getting sick because of the rough ride. It is not the fault of the crew, the seas are especially rough. The only warning we got ahead of time was that it is an "E" ticket ride on the way back. No one on the boat knew exactly what to expect. We were lucky enough not to be the ones who did get sick. Well worth the money and the views are breath taking. It is an experience we will never forget. The crew was very nice and helpful. Thanks y'all!!

船員さんはみんな熱心でしたよ
投稿者: js, 2011/09/13ナパリコーストもゆっくりと見ることができ、途中でイルカの群れに遭遇するという嬉しい出来事もありました。安全面も細かい配慮があったので特に不安に感じることもなかったです。ただ、ほとんど日本人がいないので、説明はすべて英語で、船の騒音もあってほとんど理解できませんでした。ガイドさんが一生懸命案内してくれていたのに残念です。もっと楽しむには英語力が必要かもしれません。あと、シュノーケリングは、なぜここで？と思うくらい魚がいなかったので、すぐあがってしまいました。波があるから場所がないのかな。

これは冒険！！
投稿者: 匿名希望, 2011/08/30とってもすばらしい景色を見ることができました。
6時チェックインとまだ真っ暗ななかホテルを出発することになりましたが、
早起きして良かった！と思います。
キャプテン、船のクルーがフレンドリーにお迎えしてくれて、
上船したらなんと虹(ダブルレインボー)が頭上に現れ、
すぐに不安はふっとびました！笑船からの朝日もとてもきれいです。
ナパリコーストまでは結構距離があります。
予想以上にスピードをだして、目的のポイントまで向かいます。
なんども体が中に浮きました＾＾；ジェットコースターが好きな私は楽しめました。
終始通り過ぎていく景色に夢中でした。
びゅーーーんと折り返し地点まで向かい、そこからはゆっくりと説明を加えながら
ナパリコーストの絶景を楽しめます。
海岸沿いにできているシーケーブ(洞窟)にも接近してもらえました。
いろいろなところに滝をみることもできました。
ナパリコーストを楽しんだら、ニーハウ島へ向かいます。
これもまたかなりの移動距離！真っ青な海のなかを進んでいきます。
鳥がたくさん飛んでいました。ぼーっと観ていたら鳥が海の中に入っていき魚を捕まえていました！
波の合間をすーーと飛んでいく鳥は見ていてあきません。
ニーハウ島の横にできているクレーターに近づくとどんどん海の色がきれいになってきます。
ここで泳げるの！？とテンションは上がり、
シュノーケルスポットではシーモンクを発見！
海中では見られなかったけど海水から頭をぽこっとだした姿はとてもかわいらしかったです。
たくさんの魚やサンゴをみることができました。
船上のクルーはいろいろな話をしてくれます。質問をしたら丁寧に答えてくれます。
愉快なキャプテンとフレンドリーなクルーがこのアクティビティを
盛り上げてくれたと思います。
最後はニーハウ島からカウアイ島までもびゅーーーーんとかなり揺れながら帰って行きます。
スプラッシュもすごいので、ウィンドブレーカーがあればいいかもしれません。
ふちに座ると目が開けられないほどのスプラッシュにかかります。
最初は楽しんでいましたが、1時間も続くと少しやっかいです＾＾；笑

Very Nice Day on the Water
投稿者: amythann, 2011/08/22We love boat rides and this was a great sightseeing and snorkel tour. The boat was comfortable and had good indoor and outside seating. Also two heads which was a nice feature. This is the only boat that crosses the channel from Kauai over to Niihau and the little island of Lehua which is where we snorkeled. They provided fins (we brought our own mask and snorkel) and "noodles" which I appreciated since I am a bit fearful of snorkeling. Also a great spread of cold cuts, with all the trimmings and lots of vegetables, and dessert for lunch. They are very safety-conscious, but I wish there was a better way to impress upon people that the crossing is rough and they should always hold on or sit down, because the constant lecturing got a bit tedious. I definitely recommend doing this trip, though.

ナ・パリ・コーストは壮大
投稿者: 匿名希望, 2011/08/17 カウアイ島は初めてでした。 天気もよくジュラシック・パークの背景のそのままのナ・パリ・コーストを見てきました。 噂以上でした。
途中イルカの大群や鳥の捕食の様子を見つけると船を近づけてくれました。 イルカは慣れているようで、すぐ船によってきて子供は大喜びでした。
スタッフは女性のキャプテンを含めて3人でしたが、とても親切でよくしていただきました。集合場所が遠く、リフエやポイプからでも送迎がないのでレンタカーがないとつらいです。
また行きたいです。

悪天候時の適切な対応を感謝
投稿者: 匿名希望, 2011/03/11実際は悪天候によりキャンセルとなり行けなかったのですが、今後の参考になると思い、体験談として書いておきます。予約日前日夕方6時に翌朝のボート出航の確認のため電話したときには予定通りだったので、翌朝6時、港に行き、チェックインを済ませたあとぶらぶら待っていた。そのあと、ものすごい土砂降りと風で、集合時刻30分後に、キャプテンから話があり、ナパリコーストには行くが、ニイハウ島近くには行けないので、今日行く人にはツアー代の25%を返却する、日程を変更することもできるし、キャンセルもできる、という説明でした。説明は良心的だなと感じました。私たちは日程を変更しました。一番早くて２日後ということだったので２日後に予約変更。再予約日の前日夕方、登録していた携帯電話にツアー会社から電話がかかってきて、翌朝も悪天候が予想されツアー自体をキャンセルするということだった。私たちはもうほかの日程の余裕がなかったのでキャンセルすることにしました。ツアー代は全額Alan1を通じて返却されるという説明もあり了解した。翌日にはAlan1から全額返却される旨のメールが届き、インターネットでクレジットカードのオンライン取引明細チェックをしたらその２日後にはツアー代全額が返却されていた。ツアー会社およびAlan1の迅速で適切な対応に安心しました。天候はどうしようもないのでいつかまたチャレンジしたいと思います。ただこのような天候に左右されるツアーのときはハワイでの携帯電話や連絡先を必ず届けておくことが大切だと感じました。また日本語ができるスタッフがいないツアー会社だと少し英語がわからないととまどうことがあるかもしれません。またカウアイ島のツアーだと冬よりも春や夏の方が天気が良い日が多いかもしれません。しかしカウアイの雨もなかなか味わいがあっていいものです。

very enjoyable

A truly unique experience

Even less than I expected
投稿者: Barry, 2011/01/14The staff was very nice and the boat ride was relaxing but the Fern Grotto itself was less than I expected, and I wasn't expecting much.
You don't go inside the cave. You just look at it from a distance.
You can see ferns growing from the face of a rock cliff where the cave is located. You view it from a platform where weddings are performed these days. You can't go inside to see the area where 100 people can gather.

ナパリクルーズ
投稿者: ころころ, 2010/12/0511月21日にホロホロチャーターズに行ってきました。
家族で参加したのですが天気もよくとても気持ちがよかったです。
日本人は私たち4人だけでした。船酔いが心配だったので事前に酔い止めを飲みましたがこの日は全く心配なかったです。船酔いしている人もいないようでした。
最初すぐにシュノーケルをしました。あんまりお魚はいませんでしたがまあそこそこという感じでした。
そのあとビールなど頼めばくれてとってもおいしかったです。
その後ナパリへむかうのですが途中ウミガメがいました。スタッフが教えてくれます。
その後ついにイルカの群れにも出会う事ができました。暫くイルカに近づいてくれて結構ながく見れました。かなりの頭数がいた感じです。かわいかったです。
そのあと ナパリに向かってジュラシックパークやキングコングやパイレーツなどの撮影したところをみました。
すばらしい絶景で、来てよかったとほんとに思いました。スタッフのかたがものずごく説明してくれるのですがなんせ英語なので詳しくはわかりませんでした。妹がちょくちょく通訳してくれたのですがわからなくても楽しいと思います。崖に巣を作っている鳥の近くにいったり洞窟に接近したりなかなか見所があって迫力がありました。
帰りはランチがあってまた港に戻りますがご飯食べた後は急に眠くなり私達の家族だけ爆睡でした。
寝ているのは私達だけでみんな元気だなーって思いました。
船の外に座ったりごろごろしたり皆適当にくつろいで風が気持ちよくて最高でした。外国人の方は直射日光をあびてあかーくなってました。
皆さん満足しているようでした。
カウアイ島の初めて行く人は是非参加した方がいいと思います。
