投稿者: Elizabeth Ann Maisel, 2008/04/02We enjoyed the show, and the MC was really funny and had a good voice. Before it started we ended up waiting in several different areas for them to set up. The cups for the drinks were too small, even for water and soda. I can understand having small cups for the alcohol, but it was difficult to drink enough water. It would have been more comfortable with the tables and chairs set up on the grass, instead of sitting on concrete (too hot!)Also, a bigger selection of vegetarian options would be good. Overall, as first timers to the Island, we really enjoyed the show. Thanks!

投稿者: Mr. Anonymous, 2008/04/02We enjoyed our experience at the luau. The food was very good and they were very experienced at moving a big crowd through efficiently. It was great having the Hawaiian music during dinner. The show was pretty good. We did enjoy it, but it doesn't quite compare to the show at the Polynesian Cultural Center on Oahu, which is the best. This one was good, and it tried to have different islands represented, but the numbers were all very similar to each other. Loved the fire and volcano and the dragon. It was an enjoyable evening for our family.

Luau was great!
投稿者: Lori & Craig, 2008/03/29This was our first trip to Hawaii, and we thought the luau was a great value! The food was great, and since our room looked over the luau area, we got to see the pig being put in the imu pit early in the day, and then experienced how great it tasted hours later!
Unfortunately our luau was rained out just as the show started, and though we got a raincheck for the show, we had another event planned for luau nights and could only come late into the show. I think we missed a good portion of the fire dancers as we only saw one guy. What we did see was great though!
I'd definitely do it again.

投稿者: 眞ちゃん, 2008/03/27ワイキキのホテルに朝到着、午後4時過ぎにセンターへ向かって出発、1時間少々で到着する。通りすがりに色々な観光場所をガイドしてくれます。到着後すぐに夕食ですが、エコノミーとデラックスコースでは建物が異なります。デラックスコースのバイキングでしたが、後日の他と比べてもなかなか良かったと思います。ショーはエキゾチックで迫力の有る素敵なものでした。お客さんは米国人がほとんどでこちらも別の意味で迫力が有りました。欲を言えば食事の時間が後30分欲しいところでした。

投稿者: J SHAW, 2008/03/23I WAS SEATED SO FAR BACK AND TO THE SIDE THAT FOR $180.00 FOR A 70 YEAR OLD AND TWO 13 YRS OLD AND BY THE TIME I GOT BACK WITH MY FOOD IT WAS TOO COLD TO EAT. I COULD NOT SEE THE SHOW EITHER.

Worth every penny
投稿者: return guest, 2008/03/22Would suggest upgrading to mid level. Worth the service you get. The entertainment is exceptional. My eleven year old granddaughter enjoyed it as much as her Mom and Grandmother.
Participate in the activities, loads of fun.

投稿者: Mr. Anonymous, 2008/03/17This was a great luau -- more than we had hoped for, considering we thought the luau we attended on Maui was going to be best out there (it turned out to be a tie). The Smith family certainly knows how to treat its guests. Not only did you get a wonderful tram ride around the estate (to check out the beautiful peacocks and lush landscape), you got a great meal followed by a wonderful show. We were very impressed.

Good end of the day entertainment
投稿者: Sue, 2008/03/12we spent the day kayaking the Wailua River and this was the perfect cap on a perfect day. The gardens are lovely, the luau food I assume is typical for luau food, which isn't exactly to mainland tastes, but we didn't really go for the food anyway. It was delightfully entertaining, with lovely dancing. It was my first luau so I don't have much to compare it to, but had heard about this one, so we tried it. I would recommend it to anyone, it is a good value for the moneye.

投稿者: Nancy, 2008/03/10We went as a family. It was very good. We had a great time. Everything was very entertaining. There was enough time to go around and involve yourself in any of the different activities that you may want to without making feeling rushed or too long either where you might start thinking let's move this along. The backdrop of the ocean was breathtaking. There was a fantastic sunset which made for the best photos of a sunset over water I have ever taken.
The show during the dinner was very good and so colorful. The staff was friendly and cordial.
Only one suggestion...the drink coupons that can be used anytime. We and several people around us did not realize that you need to save one drink coupon for your meal. If you use up all your drink coupons before the meal then you have to by your drink for your meal...sodas being $3.00 each....so plan ahead if you want to use all you drink coupons before the meal. Food was very good...I especially liked the pig...it was yummy!

The host was great and very informative of the Hawiian and Polynesian cultures. We loved the costumes and how the dancers interacted with the guest. We upgraded our tickets and ended up sitting in the very front row. WoW! We could not have had a better time.

なーと思いこのショーに参加しました。
チェックインから入場まではやや時間がありましたが、いったん席に案内され
てからは、次から次にいろんなアクティビィティーが準備されていて飽きるこ
となく思う存分楽しむことができました。私たちのと隣には８０代半ばの大学
仲間というおじいちゃんおばあちゃんたちのグループの方たちがいらっしゃり
、いろんなお話をしたりしてとっても楽しい時間を過ごす事ができました。料
理もハワイのローカルな料理がずらーっと並んでいて少しずつとっていたつも
りがいつの間にかお皿いっぱいになっていておなかいっぱいでした。
ダンスですが若い女性と男性数名がいろんな国のダンスを踊ってくれとても迫
力がありました。
思い出に残るいい夜になりました♪

The staff was great, the views - unbeleivable and the experience - unforgettable. I would definitely recommend this for your trip to Oahu.. I'll definitely do this again!!!

投稿者: Mr. Anonymous, 2008/03/02The Luau at Smith's Tropical Paradise was very nice. I was impressed with the multitude of talents on display by the staff, such as Kamika Smith managing, cracking jokes, singing, and even serving coffee - he seemed to be everywhere. My wife, her mother and I really enjoyed the food, music and show. It was a very pleasant evening.
The one thing I would say had room for improvement was the mai tai punch - it was 1 or 2 % abv at most, 4 or 5 % abv would have been better.
We would be happy to return next time we are on Kauai. Overall our trip was a lot of fun and very relaxing - just what we needed.

思い切って参加してみました。
投稿者: 匿名希望, 2008/03/01他はみんな外人さんばかりなので参加をためらっていたのですが、外国の雰囲気を味わいたくて参加しました。言葉はわからなくてものりがよく楽しいバスの中でした。到着したらちょうど夕日がきれいに見える時間でいい写真がいっぱい撮れました。夜のショーは本格的でした。ごはんはバイキングですが、量はたっぷりあって途中でもおかわりに行けます。夜の外に長時間いると寒いのでいっぱい着込んでいくといいと思います。星を見るためか、真っ暗に照明をおとす時があったのですがとってもきれいな星空でした。

What a Great Time!
投稿者: Michael B, 2008/02/21We went to the luau on Sunday 2/17 and had a wonderful time. We had a rental car so we didn't use the bus shuttle but it is a quick 45 minutes up H1 from Waikiki. We had our sons 19 and 15 and both enjoyed the activities before dinner and the show. Great music, great food...HUGE portions (we purchased the more expensive table service with front row seating which I would highly recommend as the wait staff and cocktail servers are fun and attentive), and a great luau show. When you go to the bar look for the bartender named Lizzie. She makes a superb upscale mai tai. We were seated so close during the show we could feel the heat from the flaming sword performer who was a show stopper...he is amazing. I would recommend and would go again.

投稿者: TheTexas Nicholas', 2008/02/19WHAT A TREAT!! We went to the Luau after visiting the Fern Grotto and had the perfect ending to a perfect day! We had a lei greeting then boarded the tram that took us along the winding path so we could see the beautiful gardens, lush tropical trees, lovely scenery. After walking around the grounds, we all gathered at the in-ground oven to view the digging up of the roasted Imu (pig). Then everyone went to the lovely dining area where we all enjoyed tropical drinks and the delicious feast. During dinner, Hawaiian entertainers performed traditional Hawaiian music, singing, and hulas. Children were invited onstage to learn the hulas so it was great fun to watch!! Following the feast, everyone went to the grand outdoor theater to witness the torch lighting and a spectacular Polynesian music production where each of the Islands presented dramatic traditional hulas and music. It is great family fun, not to be missed!!

カヌーページェントのパフォーマンスから、カヌーでのツアー、可愛い大学生のツアーガイドにるサークルアイランドの楽しい事の連続です。フラをならったり、太鼓に手踊りで参加したり、火起こしを体験、他にもいろいろ・・・
夕食後の、ホライズンショーは、もう！噂に違わず見事です。うるうる状態で、ポリネシア人になって歓声・奇声？を
あげて楽しみました。もりだくさんの内容なので、とってもお得だと思います。母も娘も大満足でした。

とても楽しめました☆
投稿者: 匿名希望, 2008/02/01初めてのハワイだったので、やっぱり体験しとかなきゃ？とトワイライトツアーに日本から申し込み。楽しみにしていたのですが、いざ、行く日になって同行の家族が体調を崩して病院に行くことになり、急遽、キャンセルの連絡をしました。
が、キャンセルを覚悟していたものの実際は日程変更をしていただけることになり、後日、無事、ショーを見ることができました。
ショーは全く眠くもならず、あっという間の90分でした。楽しかった～。デラックスだったので席もセンター近くの前から2列目で、迫力もあり、とても見やすかったです。初めてハワイに行く人にはおすすめ。
日程変更していただき、本当にありがとうございました。
ハワイのいい思い出になりました。

Beautiful grounds and good food!
投稿者: Michelle, 2008/01/29We had a fabulous time here at the Luau! The food was really good, especially in comparison the luau at the Polynesian Center on Oahu. However, the show wasn't as good as the Poly center. You can also walk the grounds before the luau and then see them dig up the pig for dinner. The grounds were gorgeous. We even got to see a runaway pig! He somehow snuck out of the pen and they hadn't been able to catch him. The Flora all around the gardens were just magnificent! Definitely a must see!

投稿者: bushes, 2008/01/26First I would recommend paying the extra $5 to go into the Gardens early. You will want to spend more time looking around than the time after the tram ride permits since it is so beautiful. The welcome was great and the tram ride was a treat and the setting for the dancing was gorgeous. I've never been to a luau before so I don't know how it compares to others, but we thouroughly enjoyed it. The dinner portion felt like a wedding reception and it was fun to have an opportunity to learn the hula.

Beyond our Expectations

The buffet was excellent, and offered lots of choices, including a nice selection of desserts. The entertainment was exceptional. From the host, to the dancers, to the band, it was all very good, and we'd definitely recomment it to others. We paid extra for premium seating, and it was definitley worth the extra money to be up front.
