Everyone who visits Barcelona should go to Monserrat. The mountains are fabulous. Not enough time though to visit everything.

Montserrat Monastery & Winery Small Group Tour from Barcelona with Tapas

We were met promptly and left very soon from Hard Rock Barcelona. Xavier was our guide and he proved to be very entertaining in a subtle way. There were 2 groups, 1 for lunch and 1 for tapas but all were wine tasting and both groups were well managed. Our visit to Monserrat was spectacular and the ride on the cogwheel train amazing!! We came down in a bus but be warned it is a steep and twisty ride! The winery was a beautiful old castle and not busy at all. We tasted 4 lovely wines along with more than ample beautifully presented tapas. All in all a great day.

Overall is excellent and also above expectation lead by the local guide ***. nnMorning Montserrat visit include monastery and hiking to know for the story behind and enjoy the natural environment in the incredible view. nnAnd then afternoon get to Sitges scenes with the lovely price and delicious lunch, enjoy beach and sea view and walking along the relaxing street, which is the perfect unique local tour design routine, especially for love taking photos, hiking and natural scene visitors who wish to getting into depth view for Barcelona associated with an unique Barcelona experience sharing with their friends. nnAfter this tour, we get deeper understanding and memorable experience to Barcelona, Montserrat and Sitges. Since this time joining is the winter time, and the Winter and Summer time scene would be fairly different experiences that we will visit here again. nnStrongly recommend local tour, who is wishing to have small private group with 3-5 people, and who love hiking, enjoy natural scene and taking photos.

Recommended for tourists wanting to see a lot of Barcelona during a short stay. Guides provided lots of info re: sites as well as recommendations in the city. Sunday was a good day to be on the bus...not much traffic. However, if culinary experiences are desired many restaurants are closed on Sundays.

This was an awesome tour and we loved the drive and the informative tour guide along the way. We had plenty of time to slip in the chapel and listen to the choir, make it to the top of the funicular, take some pictures and get back down to eat a bite before we left. You could certainly spend several hours at the top hiking - it's breathtaking. But for a short tour, this is a must on a visit to Barcelona.

If you are looking to experience the most flavor of the Barcelona area in a short period of time, these tours are the way to do it. The guides are very friendly and knowledgeable, and you get to see a great portion of the cit while hearing details about the history. I really enjoyed these tours.

Awesome view from the top! I would strongly recommend this tour. I was able to see the Boys Choir sing! Great Experience! Train was good but I wasn't necessary for good views...you can also just take the bus to the top. Do the Montserrat without the train.

The tour was perfect and the local guide was excellent.
The bus was clean et confortable. Even if the tour was given in English, the guide gave to my wife all the informations required in french because she do not speak english

We enjoyed the Montserrat with Cog-Wheel Train Tour but unfortunately, we booked the tour in French and to our surprise, it was given in Spanish and Italian. When we mentionned this to the tour guide, she told us that it was impossible and would not listen to our comments. We booked the tour in French because my travel companion is not fluent in English and we ended up paying for a service we did not receive. That was a big deception. Not much tours are given in French in Spain and we were looking forward to have all the commentaries in our native tongue.

The tour was great with one exception, our tour guide did not give us enough time to see the Black Madonna. Rather than get up in line early we walked around the shopping area talking about what we could do. It would have been better to get in line and meet up later to talk about shopping ideas.
Montserrat is amazing and a must see for anyone regardless of religious belief. The buildings and site is well constructed and blends in with the natural setting.

Very good guide. Not quite enough time at the church - I mean, to go all that way and not be able to go right up to the Black Madonna was a disappointment.
