one of the more popular day trips, bus left at 8am even though it was scheduled for 830 so not sure if there were extra buses as it was busy season during Oktoberfest. Linderhof was nice but a bit rushed. would be nice to have an extra 20 mins to spend time on the grounds and see the grotto. Neuschwanstein is only about a 30 min tour but we had a long 2 hour window waiting for our timeslot. they could maybe use extra time at linderhof here. otherwise a great day trip.

Overall this was a great trip. The bus was comfortable and the the itinerary was broken up to keep the drive times between stops relatively short. The sites were well worth seeing. Time at the actual sites (interior tours) were somewhat short, but tha is dictated by the sites not the tour bus company.

Thought that the visit to Harburg was a bit ho-hum and the time would be much better spent visiting another of those fascinating old towns along the Romantic Road.
Rothenburg was brilliant even with its (not mentioned) past Nazi position history.

The guide really knew her history and current affairs: thoughtful and intelligent.
All too short, of course, but a comfortable ride and saw something of the countryside, as well as that lovely city.

The Rothenburg and Harburg day castle was very interesting and gives you a good glimpse at medieval Bavaria. The town of Rothenburg was quaint with some interesting shopping.

Tour was interesting, nice to see Bavarian countryside. There were though much too little time to see the castles. Group was so big that you could not even see the room properly and you could not browse rooms on your own because of the time table.
I recommend NOT to eat in the restaurant the guide recommended. Food tastes bad, cold, mashed potato was not from real potatoes and it was really expensive.

Meeting/Pickup point was easily located.
Bus was clean and sales of drinks available from driver during stop was additional good service.
It would be good if Bus tour guide advise us of her location on certain timings at Neuschwanstein after our lunch before going up to the castle... in case we need to get last minute information.

The tour gives you additional information about Munich. I would book it if you are a tourist and a good value. It gives you a good indication of where to walk to for sightseeing after the tour is over.

Do not be put off by the fact that there may be lots of tourists here. It is an absolute 'must see' if you are anywhere nearby. Take the pony and carriage ride up the hill for amusement value or if you are infirm. We bought coffee and cake from the cafe right by the pick -up point for the pony rides. IThe ride cost 6 euros per person one way. Our tour guide, Monika, was excellent and very knowledgable, but not over burdening us with information either. The guide at Linderhof was superb. Be prepared to be moved through both buildings quite quickly. This is becasue they have such a vast number of visitors each day. If you linger, you will lose your signal for your audio tour. We were lucky with the weather and it snowed while we were there. The views are just stunning, but bring good shoes if you plan to walk up and down the hill to Neuschwanstein. It is possible to visit under your own steam, but doing a guided tour took away a lot of the angst and made for a very trouble-free trip. We had timed tickets for Neuschwanstein. There s a bit of time for shopping in the visitor centres at both Neuschwanstein and Linderhof and the stop-over at Oberammergau allows time for a quick browse in the local shops. The one recommended by our guide was a bit naff, so we visited Kathe Wohlfahrt (the centre of all Christmas kitsch) but also a good source of genuine German products.Would thoroughly recommend this tour.

This was the best part of our visit to Munich. This tour lasts the entire day and takes you to 2 different palaces plus a small village for souvenir shopping.
You have a choice of tour busses depending upon what language you want to hear spoken by the tour guide. The tour guide was very informative and funny. The tour itself is very well organized and includes a short stop for lunch.
The cost for entrance to the palaces at the time was 21 Euro. The cost for lunch was not included so be prepared to spend at least 15 Euro per person. The souvenir shop does have better prices than you'd find in the city plus the products are made in Germany.
We plan on using City Discovery the next time we visit Munich and visit other palaces.

It was with mixed expectations i had bookes This 4 hours trip for my 33 students, ad they often tend to find anything cultural or historical information uninteresting. But beacause of barrys wonderful irish humour, he managed to make all students understand The german histore,laugh a lot of The germans Way of naming places and to make 4 hours feel like 1. His enourmous knowledge of berlin made it a very recommended City Tour.
Great for School Classes, i scored a lot of points from my students and hat is always Nice..

Berlino è l'enciclopedia della Seconda Guerra Mondiale e tutti dovrebbero un giorno visitarla. Le guide dei tours sono molto preparate sul piano storico, oltre ad essere cortesi quanto basta per rendere i tours estremamente affascinanti. L'emozione che può dare Berlino a qualsiasi individuo di normale sensibilità è davvero unica; si rimane, nella visita di alcuni siti, particolarmente colpiti sul piano emotivo, quasi da vedere stravolta la tua considerazione sulla vita. Viene voglia di tornarci.

Munich Night City Tour with Traditional Bavarian Music and Dinner at Hofbräuhaus

A great way to sample Munich at night with a stop off for beer and food at a famous bar. The trip to the top of the Olympic tower was a big higlight for me. Fantastic view. And a nice cocktail in a very nice live music venue was cool to finish the evening off. It is not a night club as such. Got back to drop off at midnight. A good group and well escorted. Great for those who are on their own and perhaps not adventurous to walk around a city at night.
