Q. Where does the Thames River Cruise depart from and how long does the trip take?
A. Your London hop-on hop-off ticket includes a free Thames River Cruise. The ticket enables you to hop-on and off any of the river boat services operated by our partners, City Cruises. Thames River Cruise departs from Tower Pier, Waterloo Pier or Westminster Pier, and takes approximately 30 minutes.

The river cruise includes live commentary and enables you to see the sights of London from a different angle. Tower Bridge, HMS Belfast, Shakespeare's Globe and the Tate Modern Art Gallery are just some of the famous highlights that line the riverside.

If you have purchased a 1 day ticket, you can travel on the Thames between Westminster Pier and the Tower of London. If you have purchased a 2 or 3 day ticket, the free River Thames cruise also offers you the chance to travel all the way to Greenwich and explore the National Maritime Museum and the Greenwich Royal Observatory. No matter how many times you tour the Thames river, you'll always enjoy the sights and appreciate this unique view of London.

The river cruise departure times vary, but are approximately every 20 minutes in the summer and every 30-40 minutes in the winter. You can board the river cruise at Tower Pier, Westminster Pier or Waterloo Pier, however, please check with our staff on your day of travel.
Q. What is the free walking tour?
A. The tour will lead you from Trafalgar Square to Horseguard's Parade, taking in Carlton Gardens, the Mall and St James’ Park along the way, giving you access to areas which you can’t visit by bus. Your tour guide will share historical facts and fascinating stories about the area and its famous residences, explain the function of Horseguard’s Parade, and give you insight into the function of the Royal Family in modern British democracy.

On days when there is a Changing of the Guard, your guide will walk you directly to Buckingham Palace to see this traditional ceremony for yourself before completing a short tour back to Trafalgar Square.

Tours begin at 10:30am daily from Stop #9: Trafalgar Square. Tours last approximately 90 minutes.
