My friend and I decided to try this day trip. We had no idea that the Swiss Alps were so close! Highlights were definitely the cruise across the lake, with beautiful panoramic views, and the scenic train ride.
The tour guide was very informative about the history of the area and points of interest. It was nice to leave the planning and details to someone else. We were able to just enjoy ourselves without any worries.
There isn't much stopping, except for some time in Interlaken, which is plenty of time to get some gift shopping in, so most of the appeal is the visual experience. Make sure to have a camera ready.
Highly recommended. Would do it again.
