Our hostess was charming and friendly. She was able to demonstrate and explain the art of calligraphy very clearly and we had a great time practicing our words and names and then producing a copy to take home and frame. My son and I were the only ones in the class so had her undivided attention. She was very complimentary about all our efforts.
As a bonus we asked for the recommendation for any nearby sushi restaurants, and she sent us to a sensational place.

Whilst we were in Japan we saw several places that did the yukuta/kimono dress up activity but this was by far the cheapest. The ladies who dressed us were very friendly and explained everything really well.
It's definitely worth doing it!

Had a great Kimono dress up experience at Wabikae. Ono-San and his staff were friendly and inviting and had everything prepared for our large group (12 people). Very affordable too. If you're in the Osaka/Dontonbori area, check out Wabikae for a fun experience and some great photo opportunities. Located at the KTIC (Kansai Tourist Information Center) in Osaka.
Very thank you Dan and your family. It is our pleasure to have a fun and wonderful time at WABIKAE. Next time, please go around Shinsaibashi and Dotombori with kimono! See again!
