Enjoy a wealth of activities that let you experience nature up close in the Lake Toya area.

Tour Starts
Drive to the boat pier
Enjoy the spectacular view of Lake Toya from the boat!
Nakajima is the islands in the middle of lake Toya. It`s commonly called Nakajima, but actually is a group of lava domes formed by an eruption. The lava domes are called Oshima, Kannonjima, Bentenjima and Mandojima.
Register at the Nakajima-Mizuumi no Mori Museum, and start your walk! You might meet some deer along the way.
From the entrance gate, you will walk through a larch forest for a while. Before you know it, the forest will change to a Sakhalin Spruce forest.
Fu-ketsu is a hole from which a cool breeze blows out even in summer. If you hold your hand over the hole, you can feel a natural cool breeze blowing.
The area was once a forest of Sakhalin fir trees, but due to weather and other factors, the trees have withered and now turned into grassland. On a clear day, Mt. Yotei can be seen between the Kitayama and Nishiyama mountains.
Get on the boat and go back to adventure base.
