Japanese Plastic Food Sample Art Experience in Tokyo
The kids loved this unique craft experience
Reviewed by: Emily , 2024/10/06The kids didn’t know what to expect but afterwards they raved about this experience. They made the regular sized parfait and enjoyed choosing the decorations first with a sample parfait, then pouring in the silicon icecream and arranging the decorations. The man helping was very friendly and patient. It was great to have this experience which we probably couldn’t do anywhere else in the world!

Kyoto Private Kaiseki Dinner at Traditional Restaurant with Maiko Dance Show
A real classy experience
Reviewed by: Wesley, 2024/09/10Had an awesome time and would highly recommend. The restaurant is gorgeous and the staff extremely hospitable. The kaiseki dishes were very well liked by the three of us and their proprietary sake was excellent.
Our interpreter Peter was super chill and knowledgeable. Lastly our maiko, Kana Sue was fascinating to watch - the makeup, hair style, kimono, and all the meanings behind each intention of dress; the couple of dances she performed; and the hospitality services. Not to mention learning of her and many other girls' extremely committed lifestyle choice and what that entails to become a geisha was an eye opening seminar.
I would have liked to see some singing and instrument playing, but perhaps requesting a geisha over a maiko would have been prudent. An interpreter is necessary unless your fluent. Overall it was a highlight of my trip and I would do again.

加工は自信なかったが、丁寧に説明してくれて、練習もさせて頂いて何とか形になりました。
貴重な体験をありがとうございます。

練習してみての自分の力量との差をどうしようかと図案選びに悩みました。
深く彫ると穴が空きそうでおっかなびっくり。
先生のアドバイスもありなんとか完成出来ました。
次回はもっと複雑な図案に挑戦してみたいです！

Amazing experience
Reviewed by: Great!, 2024/08/20Out of all of the activities we have done in Japan, this has turned to be the best one we have done! The owners are a married couple and both have been so nice and sweet. The whole activity is very immersive and we didn't notice that 2 hours have went by so fast! They also served us sweets and tea before starting and they were all so delicious! I even had 5 refills of the tea.
On our next trip to Japan, we will for sure come by again to see you!
Thank you very much for taking part in making our trip unforgetful.

楽しい！
Reviewed by: KIYO, 2024/08/20台風直撃日に体験しましたが、幸い土砂降りのタイミングから外れていた為、お店に移動後、問題なく体験できました。先生のお姉さんに丁寧に教えて頂けます。自分の苦手な模様の削り方や、改善ポイントなども的確に指導して頂けるが有難かったです。練習しながら本番に挑めますし、難しい図案や格好良い図案なども教えて頂けます。
とても上手に褒めてくださるので、モチベーションも下がらず、集中して挑めます。残念ながら私は削りすぎてグラスに穴を開けてしまいましたが、もう一つやってみますかとご提案して下さいました。（時間の都合で諦めました）一緒に体験した妻はキチンと仕上げていましたので、無茶しなければ上手に作ることが出来ると思います。
穴は空きましたが、完成はしたので、サボテン鉢にでも活用しようと思います。が、悔しいのでリベンジしようと思います。ものづくりが好きな方はとても楽しめると思います。

Outstanding experience with warm-hearted Kintsugi masters

Even though it was only just under 3 hours, we were able to get a great impression of the art of Kintsugi.
Our self-repaired cups, about which we received interesting historical information, will be one of the most precious memories of our trip to Japan.

Tokyo Kintsugi Class - 1-Day Workshop near Nippori
What an amazing experience in Tokyo!!
Reviewed by: Paula, 2024/08/13Such a fun activity with my 16 year old daughter. We went to the studio and were pleasantly surprised to find out if was a personal lesson for just the two of us! Our teacher was so lovely and you could tell how passionate she was about her craft. She explained the whole process thoroughly and helped us if we needed it on each step. The packaging so we could transport our projects back home was also amazing. I did not expect to have that done for us either! Highly recommend if you're into arts and crafts!!

Edo Kiriko Glass Cutting Experience in Asakusa
Wonderful, creative time for the whole family!

Our instructor, Hiro, was excellent in explaining everything in English and he helped my sons each learn techniques to create the glass cuts they wanted for each of their designs. After we were done, we were able to photograph our completed glasses in a way that made them look so professional. We highly recommend this activity - especially for those in high school and above.

Japanese Plastic Food Sample Art Experience in Tokyo
Such a pleasant experience!!
Reviewed by: Nicole G., 2024/06/24I just made my own bowl of ramen this weekend and I was helped by one of the workers, Ryou. He was so sweet!! He was able to communicate effectively in English, showed me every step with patience, rooted me on, and even offered to take photos/videos of me throughout the process. After I was finished making my bowl, it took only about 5 minutes for it to dry and I was ready to go!
They also have an area where they sell fake food goodies, and I bought myself some gyoza earrings. It was an easy, quick walk from the station. If you’re into fake food, definitely recommend!!

A must do activity when you're in Tokyo!

They even told us where to purchase the equipment ourselves if we wanted to do this at home, which we did.
I appreciated how kind and patient they were, the 2 hour class flew by so quickly, we had so much fun!
Absolutely loved this experience and highly recommend this class.

Maiko Dance with Dinner & Kyoto Night View Tour by KYOTO Sightseeing“OKOSHI”Bus
Absolutely Amazing Night Out Experience!
Reviewed by: Kyoto Dream, 2024/06/16A really memorable and amazing experience with this Maiko Dance and dinner tour. We were escorted to a beautiful and spacious dining hall at Shozan Resort Kyoto. It is an incredibly lovely resort with a beautiful Japanese garden. A traditional and a delicious Japanese dinner was served. (Menu: Saki dzuke “appetizer”, Ha sun “ha-sun assortment”, Otsukuri “sliced raw fish”, Ipoin “a dish”, Konami “small saucepan”, Agemono “fried food”, Gohan “rice”, Kounomono “pickle” , Mizumono “dessert”, While we were enjoying our dinner, a stunningly beautiful Maiko (her name is Kimisora, the meaning of her name is dream) came out onto the stage and performed a brief dance. Kimosora san talked about some geisha history and her own stories of how and why she becomes a Maiko. Kimosora san was fascinated about geisha and their stories when she was a kid and determined to become a geisha one day. She is a friendly and sweet and elegant lady. Her English is excellent. She also showed us her extraordinary beautiful kimono and her special makeup and hairdo. Surprisingly we were given an extra long Q and A time (at least 30 mins or so) with her and we could ask any questions. She answered every question attentively and precisely. At the end we could all take several photos with her. (A reminder to myself : never touch the geisha hands or their clothes and this is an absolute respect to a geisha). During the whole meeting I could also take many photos freely. Kimisora san gave us her name card at the end of the dinner. It was a really really wonderful and memorable evening. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who would like to meet a maiko in an extremely relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere. If I ever visit Tokyo in the future I would join this tour again. A great and joyful life experience. My best wishes to Kimisora san and thank you Veltra for making my dream come true.
