This is a wonderful choice for those who understand Japanese and can't drive a car. Seats on the bus were very comfortable. The guide explained history in details and entertained participants very well. View seen from ferry and observation decks at Shirahama and Sakurajima were the best. I was lucky that it was not raining. Also, fortunately I was able to see a few times of eruptions on Sakurajima, an active volcano. You can also try Kurobuta cuisine for lunch and purchase souvenirs in very special price at Sengan-en. Museum of tge Meiji Restoration gave you an opportunity to learn more about Kagoshima's history and Saigo Takamori. Lastly, drop-off place was quite flexible. You can ask the guide to send you off at Tenmonkan or somewhere near Kagoshima Aquarium.
